Anyway, I really liked the sex scene itself because it had so much emotion in it. It was very meaningful and a very nice change.

Fucking amazing! This story is definitely a favorite. I've read it before but I decided to come back and read it (after reading all the way through The Ties that Bind for the hundredth time) and I had forgotten how beautifully written and emotional it is! You two write Billshido sooooo well!! Everything you write I can picture perfectly - everything they say, everything they do - it's just so real. Just amazing :D

Awh this story made my heart hurt from the inside out. I hurt with poor Bill and want things not only to work out with thier clearly budding relationship but also with being able to be with each other on a more regular basis.
I enjoyed the sex but I really enjoyed that the sex was not the main focus of the story. It was a part but not the focus. I enjoyed that the focus was their tenuous relationship.

That part kills me everytime I reread this part of the series! It holds so much emotion. I love it!

This is a very memorable sentence:
"Sometimes it was almost too much.
But more often, not enough."
And I found this paragraph very beautifully written...
"Bill didn't realize he was going to come until he did. It wasn't sharp, but it was deep and aching, the kind of climax he could never achieve, alone in his bunk, just imagining this. It was the crescendo of a song and then his body humming like dying guitar chords."

Bill and Bushido are just meant to be together ! I mean it ! No... Actually, it would be a bit difficult in the real life since Bu doesn't like gay people... And he always says the last thing he'd do is to have sex with another guy... But whatever, I'm still convinced Bill could change that ! ^^ In a way...
so... as far as this first story is concerned (by the way, sorry that I hadn't reviewed it yet ! In fact, I read it last week...) I was quite surprised that Bill accepted so easily to let Bu have him... that he lat him sleep with him ! In "Meet the Parents" his mother said something like "I thought you wanted to wait for the one" and Bill said that he actually did ! But at this time he didn't know it... yet ! He actually thought Bu was gonna drop him... that he was gonna leave him after getting what he wanted ! That's why I was so surprised (hum, yeah, I read "meet the parents" before "Until next time" ^^)! But I'm glad it was true in the end... Bu is still with Bill... Bu was the one ! And maybe Bill already knew it and so wanted to do it with him, even if Bushido would have left him then. He wouldn't have regreted it, even if it had been the case I think.

I laughed out loud at this part because I can totally hear Bushido saying that. I can see the arrogant little smirk that would go along with it too.
The ring scene was simultaneously beautiful and awkward, which made it very, very realistic. The awkwardness of Bill misunderstanding was enough to make me cringe, but they both handled it really well.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate seeing Bushido portrayed as someone who is vulnerable. I love that. I love the mention of his abandonment issues and his difficulty trusting. You two do a wonderful job of fleshing out Bushido's character in a realistic way.
Seeing Bill being intensely in control and afraid of letting go of that control is awesome too. It feels like a very realistic characterization of him. This whole fic was a great characterization of him. All the little details from him pausing in the elevator to angsting over giving up his control were just perfect.
I love all the little analogies. They caught my attention every time. Free falling and stepping on stage for the first time. Great analogies, and damn you for stealing all these perfect analogies and using them up in one fic. Save some for the rest of us!
This is some of the most emotional sex I've ever read, but I've come to expect that from you two. You weave emotion and sex together beautifully. You capture the intensity that a lot of people forget to include. Sex isn't just physical and a lot of people seem to forget that.
The goodbye scene was just... God, it made me ache. I normally hate pet names, especially between men, but Bushido's “Baby, don't cry” was just perfect. Bill totally would just sneak out on Bushido like that and you know it would just rip Bushido apart of it did. You don't walk out on a man with abandonment issues. Their goodbye was wonderful and the twins at the end... I don't even want to interpret it as twincest for once. I just want to see it as Tom loving and worrying about his brother, which is probably the reality of things.
