I can't believe you guys... That was awesome! The sweetness, the romance, the happiness... it's just really really great to read!
A smile is glued to my face! :)
Thank you!
Your Bill is a real sweetheart and a kind loving person, not to mention Tom... He is a darling for loving Bill
I am curious to what Bill did in school to merit such a drastic punishment from his mother? I hope it's something nasty to the G's... Or to the headmaster for suspending Tom...

Nope, it's full of poison! >=o And that poison makes you think of some very...interesting things *wink* And then gives you the impulse to do them again and again and again. *giggles*
It's good to know that this Bill will still be himself. Without the comic books or the jars or the samples. or all that stuff. =] Just because he doesn't have those things anymore doesn't mean he can't look for a portol after a full moon under a bridge that he and Tom could go through and forget all the troubles they leave behind.
I love it. =]

Best chapter ever! First kiss, so sweet. I'm glad, of all the things Tom could have said to comfort Bill, he said the one and only thing that truly mattered. Can't wait to see more!

What is seen cannot be un-seen.
That quote is the reason I was so worried about this chapter (well, that and Froggy being all nervous and oozing her worry onto me) because as awesomesauce the story has been so far, a misstep is virtually impossible to correct in writing. You know what I mean, right? If you jump into something too fast and your story takes that turn, even if you delete and start over the enjoyment is lost.
But really, I should have used my brains a bit. You two are both fantastic authors and a part of being a great writer is knowing if you're taking things too fast or dragging them along. You guys know, and I loved the fact that the pace wasn't *set* in this chapter, but continued. Because that's the mark of a story that flows beginning to end, and while we're at a slight disadvantage to be reading one chapter a time, I'm positive this will turn out to be a cohesive piece that I'll enjoy reading as a whole.
So, gushing aside, for this chapter, I think what I loved the most (and damn its hard to pick) was the dialogue. Part of what makes this story so unique is that you guys have fleshed out their characters to near perfection, and *everything*, including- no, ESPECIALLY- the dialogue follows that. I loved the question Bill asked and I when and how Tom answered. I think you know exactly what I'm trying to say so I won't expend any more energy into trying to explain. ;)
I loved that this chapter was from Tom's POV. I think it needed to be, because from a purely relationship perspective, Bill tends to get... carried away. And while that's *him* and he wouldn't be *Bill* without that, I don't think it would have had the same impact as Tom's butterflies did. :3
Speaking of butterflies, you know I see that in nearly every story, but I actually can't relate to it. I mean, I've never gotten butterflies in my life. When I got near a crush my face would turn so red I would be afraid I was going to spontaneously combust, but butterflies in my *stomach*? ...maybe I'm just abnormal. Wouldn't be the first thing...
So, before I forget, Simone. There are very, very few instances in stories that I've read where I can sympathize with both sides of a conflict. This is one of those. I already told you guys that I loved that you didn't tell us exactly what Bill did at school - it wasn't necessary and put the focus on the NOW, which is more important, I think - and I think that played a big part in helping me to connect with both Simone AND Bill. Not one more so than the other, but an even understanding of why Simone punished him and why Bill couldn't handle that punishment. And as far as plot devices go, it was a lovely one. I couldn't think of anything better to ease into the kiss (kissES! MULTIPLE! -dies-) like you guys did.
I remember mentioning something about slow and subtle, and well, this wasn't subtle. Bill jumped him, for crying out loud. But it *was* subtle, and the jumping was warranted because... well, because it's Bill. And I always love how you tie back to the heart of the story even when you're drawing tangents - Bill mentioning the poison in Tom's lip ring made my day.
I really, really shouldn't have worried. You guys are superb and I hate that I can't give you a proper, coherent review because things keep distracting me (Andy, Muse, the Box, etc.) but you know I loved it, don't you? Of course you must, I've only said it a few thousand times.
I want more. :3 Write, write, write, Froggamuffin. (And think hard about that space pirate smut! D: )
Much love,
Ella
