This has been a truly wonderful story to read. A story about how we impact the world we live in! And how we think we don't matter!
It reminds me very much of "A Christmas carol" by Charles Dickens and a movie by Frank Capra called " It's a wonderful Life" from 1946 with James Stewart in the lead role as George Bailey!
The difference between them is that in A Christmas carol, the ghost shows Scrooge how his life IS impacting on his surroundings, and in It's a wonderful life, the angel shows Mr. Bailey the same as your dark figure shows Tom, How the world would look if he never was born!
Your interpretation of the whole "unborn impact" issue is very good and has a truly nice ending!

Author's Response: I was very influenced indeed by A Christmas Carol, although I've never heard of It's a Wonderful Life. I'll check it out :) I really enjoyed writing this and being able to think about these things and write about them is something I enjoy, so I'm glad you enjoyed it too. Author's Response: Thank you :) I thought it was appropriate for Tom because he's the one that inspired 'Wir Sterben Niemals Aus', so, this is showing the Tom makes a big difference in our world :)

Aw, it did happen, no denial, but... gee I'd have done good with another chapter of the explanation Tom gave Bill and all, though I guess that was a fitting end... maybe a chapter of the "missing moment"? I know I'm pushing my luck, but why not try? Hell, a hell of an interesting story, my congrats.
