I first read this story a long while ago and it is no less traumatising the second time around. Nonetheless, for all the horror, and you almost think, 'poor Tom' - because we experience and connect with his emotions and his pain before we do with Bill's - it is beautifully, written. Thank you for your great restraint and avoiding graphic descriptions; you gave credit to the reader for using their imagination. It feels strange to say this is a favourite, if you know what I mean, but it is.

That was INCREDIBLE. I read a really long story on this website that took me a month. This took me an hour to complete.... I cried twice for this story and not once in the other! Amazing. Very suspenseful, descriptive and you really make me feel what the characters, especially Tom, felt. Also, the German parts in Bill's cries were a haunting yet brilliant touch. Really added to the emotions. Thank you!

I wanted to puke.
I wanted to scream.
I wanted to cry.
I wanted to die at some points.
Painful story. Very painful.
But the ending was beautiful, and I'm grateful you decided to give it such a sweet finale.
I hate and love this story all at once- though I ask you not to take the hatred as a negative aspect in this case. It was good that I hated it, because in the end I simply love it :)

There is something about a story that when details are omitted carry more weight. The images our minds conjure up might well be worse than the thankfully fictitious video described...every hour was like a punch to the gut. This was very well written; it couldn't have had the impact otherwise. But I'm glad that you had the story end where it did. It showed restraint and it didn't feel as though anything had been cut short - we certainly do not need to read how Bill carries on, it is implied and that's enough.

This story was... idk how to explain it. I cried multiple times. I just don't know how to describe this story but I'm sooo glad I found it. The end was beautiful and the whole story in all was so good! Amazing even!

I cried. And cried. For such a short story, this was really, really good. I don't normally get so emotional with stories :)
