This story takes my breath away. It is beautiful and rich. You've created such an amazing setting for this story. I can see it all so clearly in my mind and it's rare for me to get such clear visuals from reading.
I love how you've worked in Bushido. I've been wondering what role he would play. This seems so perfect. I love that he is a Believer, which makes it seem like he is a better match for Bill.
There is one question on my mind. It seems that Bill has the more submissive or traditionally feminine role in the betrothal. Is this because his family is not as wealthy or is there some other factor that determines which of the men has this role?

There are a lot of AU stories where Tom and Bill are princes (or something similar) and get used to each other and bla.. bla.. bla...
But, obviously, you were doing things in your own fabulous way (which means, more or les, WOW!). And everything here is GREAT! Bill's a bit more feminine than usual but I like him anyway, I feel he should be this way in this story. Tom's Tom, even here. And I love the way you put every character in the plot. David as Jorg's spouse? Yulin's gonna kill you! XP
