Hey i love this story but so i better understand can you explain somethings for me?
first..
1. What is a woman's role in this world?
2. How do they determine who's a second male and who's a first?
3.Do any men every marry women? Or do all men only marry other men?
4.If a concubine gives birth to a girl what happens to the baby girl?
5. And are women able to get married , or are their only roles to have sex with the men and have baby's? thanks
Author's Response: 1) A woman's role in this world, to reduce it to its simplest and unsatisfactory terms (as we don't address this part of the world from a personal perspective in the stories we've presented here) is to reproduce.
2)If you read the coming chapters carefully, you can catch how a second male is determined. Feel free to ask again if you still can't figure it out after reaching that point in the story. ;)
3)It is legal tradition that all men marry men, and that all pairs be one first male and one second male. Filogynia is known as an untoward place for it's lax morality, which includes allowing unorthodox marriages (this universe's San Francisco, if you will). Occasionally in this story and its sequel, you will hear the Vaves speak of the disgraced House of Qal, and their heir, Jason. Though never discussed outright in these two pieces, Jason was a friend of Tom's and Daniel's (who you will meet in just a few chapters in this story) older brother. He married his concubine, Claudia and was disowned for it.
4)The girl will be raised and trained among the concubines of her House and then sold or offered as a present once she comes of age. Prostitution is always an option (and probably not quite as disgraceful a one as it would be in our world), as is running a brothel, but this is of course, the road less traveled by most women.
5) A woman's role in this world in no way necessitates marriage; the men of this society would unfortunately view it as no more than a detraction from their duties. A seemly woman is a concubine and therefore has a male she belongs to, but of course, that man belongs to his own male spouse above all others. Marriage is possible, as stated above, but would always be seen as immoral at this point in this society's history.

If I understand well, Tom was nearly to get married with Daniel when he decided to broke up 2 days before the end of their Holy Weeks. I did it because Daniel was unfaithfull but they didn't sleep together because Tom said he never did it with a man. Hope he will never discovered about Bill and Bushido.

Goddamit, I just read this whole series and I'm confused, satisfied, annoyed, happy, and all over at the same time.
I'm a big Tom/Bill supporter in this and often cringed at all the Bill/Bushido because I more often then not avoid those stories. That's not the point though because I did enjoy this story very much even if it kept me going from one emotion to the next all the way through.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Great not-so ending. Now I have to go read the sequel ;) Which will probably keep me all over the place just as much as this story does.
Ah man, well there's a close to one chapter. One to the next one!
Great job though!!! Loved it.

I myself have felt agony in reading this tale of tragedy--- for Bill and Tom are one of the few pairings which I cannot bear to see separated no matter the ultimate design. But I have labored through because you, my dear authors, have created a rich universe that captivates the soul and mirrors aspects of humanity not often explored in literature. I have rarely seen such vivid characters, eloquence, depth, and engaging plot.
