Wow, this was a fabulous story. my favorite kind with lots of angst, lots of hurt/comfort, and above all, well written with a happy ending. I would have loved to have seen a little more of what happened. How long til Bill came back, how Tom was, what happened when they were both together again conscious, etc. But i'm just greedy, i loved this story so i can't help wanting more. :)

Oh my god. You have no idea how close i came to NOT finishing this fic!!! I was crying so hard at the end of the seccond to last chapter that i almost turned the comuter off and went to bed. Glad I didn't however. It was a great and tragic story! Great job. Well delivered.

That was amazingly scary, I was on the edge of my seat with every new sentence. You did a wonderful jon with this peice.
I'm glad I read it after it was finished, otherwise I would have probobly died not knowing what happened!

ok, so im trying to figure out why i keep reading this. I am from the US and this is what happened to an extent a few years a go. but i can t stop reading it
Author's Response: If you are referring to 9/11, I wouldn't think that would be a reason to stop reading it, despite how tragic it was. More people die in conflicts in Africa every day. More people died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Holocaust. Maybe that means we should stop writing scenes in Germany...
And we're not exactly European, ourselves; one of us is actually from NYC.
