Author's Response: You are the first person to recognize that this story is Masquerade based. To be honest, I'm not following strict Masquerade rules. I'm really using it as inspiration and doing my own thing with it. Bill's clan is obviously a rip-off of the Toreadors. Tom's clan is sort of a mix of Brujah and Gangrel. I'm messing with a lot of stuff.

I swear I'm reading this as a hardback novel. I'm not sure if that sounds cheesy or not, but I'm still pulling myself out of the outstanding writing. The way you've embedded actual names into your story, i.e. the name of the different clans and such, fits so well and I barely noticed that it wasn't mentioned before. It's flowed so very nicely as of this far.
I'm eager to see how Tom is doing. Amazing job, as always.

One of the tricky things about writing an AU is trying to figure out how to explain the world, like the names of clans and the odd language that the vampires use within their society. I'm really relieved to hear that I managed to pull it off without it being too awkward.

that kinda made me want to cry. poor twins, the just can't survive without each other. i know there has to be build up and plot development and all that, but i can't wait until they find out each other aren't dead. twins being apart is no good.
