Fortunately Bill was always very good at directing his anger, and it wouldn’t truly effect anyone but himself, Tom and Jost. Bill was like a sharp shooter, pinpoint accurate, whereas Tom was a dumb grenade, going off at anyone and everyone around him with little regard to the consequences.
This reminds me of the part in the movie "Music From Another Room" when Danny is talking to Eric in a bookstore, and Eric is responding with just a few words at a time. Danny says that he's more like birdshot just scattering things all over the place and hoping he hits something and Eric's way of talking makes him more of a sharp shooter; he takes aim and hits his target.
I just had to say something, because I just saw that movie for the first time this weekend. And here something similar pops up today. ^_^

I loved it, really well written. The last couple of paragraphs explaining their first appearance after a year had my heart pounding, the way you described it had me picturing everything and feeling the excitement that they were feeling... plus I could picture how excited the fans were seeing them after a whole year, so it just made me more excited.
