Okay, I just have to say, this is by far one of the best stories I've read on this site. You are a magnificent writer, and I just love, love, love your characterizations of Bill and Tom.
This story has been a pleasure to read, and I'm sorry that it's (almost) over. Speaking of which, where is the damn epilogue, already? It's been, like, three weeks since you've updated. xP

:O Oh I just got done reading this whole story, and now it's the end! I don't know why, but it doesn't feel like the end to me, it feels like there is so much more to say, it feels like it's really only the beginning of something. LOL I was really surprised when I read the end notes to say that the next part would be the epilogue - are you planning a sequel?

I cannot believe this is the end. Or, the "end". I had a gut feeling the story was going to end like this, because the anger and disappointment and guilt Bill felt at dragging the name of mutants through the mud because of his own mistake wasn't something he was going to be able to let go of, so confessing and "disappearing" seemed to be the only way out for the twins.
I just wasn't expecting it to happen so fast. *whine* I know that most good authors (such as yourself) instinctively know when to end a story and I respect that but I won't lie, I wanted it to go on for much, much longer. ...that might just be my fangirl acting up though, so ignore, ignore.
I think the most powerful line in the chapter and in a sense, the entire fic was "Something had to give." Pretty simple, right, nothing extraordinary but I thought it summed up the entire essence of the fic. Something did have to give, from the very beginning, and I thought a lot of the story was the twins coming to the realization that normal wasn't something they could ever be but as long as they had each other that didn't matter. I thought you wrapped it all up quite beautifully in the end, what with Bill's message to his fans - that's how I wanted the story to end, because I didn't think he could continue to live with a lie that had been straining his health and their relationship.
I thought David was an awesome plot device. DD: I totes didn't get it in the last chapter because if I was in his shoes I would have definitely fainted (or just run back and gotten a video camera) but it was a flawless transition from Bill n Tom feeling guilty about it and them realizing that they couldn't continue this way.
I loved the description of their last concert. It wasn't anything elaborate and I think I liked it that much more because you didn't elaborate on it; it was beautiful in its simplicity. And I love the thought of Bill serenading him. ;_____; I think I almost preferred that to the smut I got jipped out of.
...almost. D: It had better show up in the epilogue, woman.
I'm sorry I'm a bit on the bad side of incoherence today (it's been happening a lot lately) but this review was mainly a babbling, stumbling way to say I loved the chapter. Can't wait for the epilogue, so I can read the entire fic over from beginning to end. *wibble*

Author's Response: I actually agree that it does seem a little too fast, but I've been struggling to get this damn story done, and I just want it to be done. BUT- I swear there is going to be an awesome epilogue (I felt this chapter was a little icky). And it will satisfy any leftover questions. I actually wanted people to not be sure of what was going to give- their relationship or their careers, I wanted it to sound like it could be either or up until Bill's little speech. I'm not sure if I succeeded in that. As always, thanks for the essay Nanners n_n
