I’m glad Bill’s injuries are healed and that his mental injuries are getting better as well. I love their routine of spending meals together, Bill really seems to feel at home. I just love to read about those two, and I can’t wait to read more! Also wonder what will be in those letters!

It was so nice of Tom to stay home and be with Bill, but I wasn’t expecting anything else from him, he’s just such a good person. And Bill deserves this so much. I can understand the emotions happening at midnight, he finally has a chance for a better life and a fresh start. I love that more of Bill’s actual personality is showing, it also shows that he is so comfortable around Tom and in their home. Aww I loved the ending, I think they will discover their feelings towards each other very soon, and it’s something I can’t wait for, although I think it’s good that it is slowly developing. Loved it!

Reading this chapter I noticed how far Bill has really come in the few weeks he has been with Tom. I mean, he is sitting in a café, alone at first, and then with another person. Of course, Andy is his friend, but still, this is a new situation. And then talking about Lola. This must be so hard for Bill, yet he is getting better because he has Tom. I think Andy really has got him thinking about his relationship with Tom, though. They would be perfect for each other, but of course Bill needs time. The dream was so cute though, Bill deserves happy dreams after all the nightmares. I love this story so so much! Really, don’t worry about the delay. Of course, I’m always looking forward to every new chapter but life happens between updates, and the wait is always worth it! Have a wonderful new year, and may all your wishes come true x
Author's Response: I’m so glad you noticed! I tried not to rush his healing and make it a gradual thin. He really has come so far since the first chapters and it was something I worked really hard on, I wanted it to seem natural. I often feel like the chapters are slow but when you see the progress and recovery Bill has made, I feel like it does make sense. rnI’m so happy you love it though’ happy new year my love x

Even Andy sees that Bill has feelings for Tom, even after not talking for a while.
I think Bill really has feelings for Tom, but he has to be ready for it to admit to it, I think.
That dream was beautiful. After all his nightmares he deserved to have a wonderful dream like this, especially because this dream might be his future.

Ahh I love this little story so so very much!! Also im so impatient while waiting for your updates so I just re-read the whole thing from the beginning. I gotta say, it is soo interesting to read it again knowing what Bill was going through during the first half before it got explained to us - makes you really reflect on everything :) can’t wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Hey! They don’t actually slow down when I post something new - I aim to post no matter what, twice a week for each story! The new one would only been maybe once a week for a little while whilst I continue to write, however the old ones will still be updated twice a week.

Oh I am so happy that Bill had the best Christmas. Of course I knew Tom would make sure of that. That was such a wholesome chapter and I do have a feeling that this baby will be made in love, not just because of the gift. They are so perfect for each other and of course, Bill still needs time but he is starting to heal. Heaven knows where he would be without Tom, if he would still be alive even. They both deserve only the best in the world. I LOVED it (as always)!

Gosh I’m crying. Really, I’m sitting here and the tears are flowing. This is the greatest gift Tom could have made to Bill. It’s that one thing Bill misses the most and Tom will give it to him. This is just so thoughtful and shows what a big heart Tom has. I had my suspicions before but this chapter really exceeded all expectations I had because it was so well written. But I loved everything about it, not only the end. I loved that they spent the night together, and that Bill slept so well with Tom by his side. I loved the other gifts that were exchanged, and that Bill seems to be genuinely happy. Love love love it and I really can’t wait for more!

Bill must have a little library by now judging by how much he reads. I love that he feels so at home with Tom, he deserved such a good soul like Tom to take care of him. Talking to Georg and spending time with him is such a huge step for Bill. This chapter made me incredibly happy because of a lot of things: - Bill’s spot giving comfort to Tom. - Bill and Tom holding hands. - Bill calling the apartment ‘home’. - Bill saying what he wants to do at Christmas. - all the other little details you were describing. I love that Bill is making progress. He deserves the most perfect Christmas and I am thinking that Tom will do everything he can to make that true. I really can’t wait for that!

I love learning a bit more of Bill’s background story. I always wondered if Bill had any family because he certainly seems like the type of person that loves family. I already assumed that Steffen would have been the cause of Bill drifting apart from his family. How much of an asshole can someone be? He is manipulative and abusive. And Bill, the sweet soul, didn’t find a way out. This makes me really sad. I loved this chapter and can’t wait for the next one!

I love how you described this typical narcissistic toxic relationship. Everything around him slowly breaks down, and he uses the person as he wants. Brutal. There are so many of these in the real world...
