Oh my god, I'm so sorry for Tom.
Bill is really a selfish person.
Tom works and works so that they can start a family and Bill spends the money with his hands only for himself.
Tom is absolutely right if he couldn't get his life around with Bill it would be totally wrong to bring a child into the family.
It was such a nice surprise that Tom had for Bill ...
To be honest, I don't actually see any chance for the two. Bill is not made for a relationship and certainly not for a family. Even if Tom loves Bill he should rethink that. It’s sad but I think together they have no chance for a happy life. Not if Bill can't and doesn't want to change.
