I really liked the story. Tom certainly didn't imagine that. Bill's idea was really great. Even if they both had other plans, he made the best of the situation. Sometimes life doesn't play along as you would like it to. But I'm sure they both had a nice anniversary.
Now I'm very excited to see how Tom wants to top that next year, because Bill is right, it`s Tom's turn next year.

That was quite sweet! It wasn't badly written either, but may I suggest getting yourself a beta reader? There are quiye a few mistakes in here, which I totally understand when you're writing it in the heat of the moment and you're in the flow. A beta reader can pick those out for you and it wouldn't cost you any trouble :) I liked it a lot!
