I’m tearing up over here. I usually don’t even like romance, fluff stories (Sandra’s are pretty much the only ones I read). But I really enjoyed this. You did such a good job making it believable and portraying the emotional side of things without it being overwhelming or cheesy. Great, solid fic.
Author's Response: Funnily enough I'm not super big on romance myself, but I like emotional development / turning points in story arcs, so that's what I generally go for. I'm super happy you liked this despite it not being your genre, thank you for the compliment!!

What are you doing to me? Now I’m kinda sad because I feel like this may end badly. Good job keeping it interesting and keeping the plot moving. That’s one thing that sometimes makes me stop reading certain fics, they just get drawn out with no real reason to be drawn out. But this is a good pace and just enough suspense to keep me hooked without seeming overdone. :)

I love how you resolved it. Usually, romantic stuff is a bunch of "no don't worry I won't hurt you I love you forever" and... Yeah that's sweet, but not logical.
Tom is just like... Yeah, like he said, not just an agreement anymore, there's something more. They're basically already a couple, it's just... Acknowledging it ? Trusting each other ? I don't know how to put into words, but it feels real and not cheesy.
ALSO. Bill not /really/ saying "I love you". We ALL know he does, and the way you made him say it without saying - it's perfect. Him saying it normally would have felt rushed, and this is not the case. This is scaredycat!Bill, and he's not ready. But he still feels it. And I think the balance is perfect on this.
And congrats for finishing this story ! I know writing is hard on you, that you struggle with it, so I'm really very proud of you !! < 3

omg fuck you for writing this perfect story. i utterly adore this tom, for one. for two, i adore georg too, he is a great friend and his advice even ended up working! i was so happy when tom stood his ground against bill. he (bill) deserved to work a bit for his happy ending. selfishly, i think this could have used another chapter just to draw it out a bit more but nevertheless it was lovely and touching and your writing is just so fantastic. great job o/
