This is a really great and interesting story. I've had it in my tracked stories since you posted the first chapter and I've finally been able to read all of the chapters. I'm really enjoying this and I can't wait to see where it goes.
I do wonder what Tom signed in this last chapter. Was it an agreement saying he would always stay prisoner on their ship or something else. I hope we will find out lol
Either way, I can't wait to see what happens next!

Bill must be a really charming captain. I'm really curious about Bill's intentions with Tom. Life on a pirate ship is dangerous, but staying in a foreign country far from home is not an advantage for Tom. Plus, I still expect some intrigues that make all things more complicated.

Ricardo is a tricky bastard. I assume that in the future Bill will have to deal with someone who does not respect him. Someone like Ricardo.
Fortunately, Tom managed the task unscathed, though with Bill's help. Now we have to wait for Bill to plan with Tom.

I really love all the details you write about how a pirate ship would actually function, I always have a lot of respect for authors who will actually research well before writing. Keep going!
Author's Response: Sorry to inform you but women aren't allowed on a pirate ship, we bring bad luck :/ you could always dress up as a man and try your luck anyway? ;) I take that as you liking Bill's character! And yeah, for me it's obvious that research is needed. It makes the job a lot easier when I don't have to make things up in my mind and also I'd hate to feed bullshit to my readers, even if this is just a fanfiction. Besides, I find pirates interesting so researching was really fun anyway ^^ but I'm glad you appreciate my efforts!! Thank youuuuuu so much and see you again

I don't usually read stories like yours but I wanted to give it a try and I am surprised that I like it that much.
I'm pleased to see that Tom is not the strongest (even if I like it) and he's in the shadow of his brother. It was nice to see him "fighting" to be the hero once even if he failed. Maybe he's going to be stronger with the pirates ?
We didn't saw much of Bill but I like him. He don't seem like an evil man so, we will see !
I'm looking forward your next chapter !

I get what you're saying, I absolutely love overprotective big brother Tom but sometimes it's nice to have something different. I hope/think by the end of this story Tom has grown to be something little different than here in the beginning... ;) Bill stays a bit distant for now, yes, but we'll see more and more of him as the story goes on. I did not think Gustav was a pirate. But then I realized that makes sense. He did not talk much about himself, and he was strange that night.
Tom was surprised when he woke up on the boat, but he was lucky they did not treat him badly. They really could throw him overboard. I'm curious how he'll be doing.
