I am confused. I mean, it's been a year or so since I read Basai. Although I do remember some. Tom came through something, and met the emperor Tom who had lost his Bill and well. is this THIS Bill? the one who is dead in the other basai? It might be obvious for some, but I just wanna ask to make sure lmao!
Anyway. I'm totally digging this. The emperor is very happy to have his Bill back, I remember the longing from Basai - and Bill must be.. well, confused, and happy to see Tom again.
So they're both happy to have their twin back.. or someone's twin. Someone's tom/bill. God, Imagine more of those twins in this world?
Author's Response: This story is set in the same universe as Basai, but the events on 'our' side of reality are different. So instead of Tom getting the mirror, Bill does. Thankfully(?) the Emperor only loses one Bill ever. It's not a long, awful line of heartbreak one after another.
Once upon a time I had started another version (I was having fun playing with the world), where both of 'our' twins came through together, and both of the Basai twins were still around. Prince Bill thought it was SUPER neat to get a double, even if the colouring was all wrong, because he never got one before. Didn't get very far in it, though.
(also, there's a whole blob of 'not actually part of the universe' stories where there are two Tom and two Bill's and everyone gets frisky on the site)

Finally he's asking!!!! Why didn't he ask earlier!!???!?!?! The tension in this chapter has me shaking. Kinda like a rollercoaster that you love but leaves your nerves shot for forever after you get off. Is that just me? I dunno. AAAHGGHH!!!! I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Oh my gosh, I had to cry a little bit, it was as I would feel what Tom felt.
Poor poor Tom but also poor Bill. I pity both of them. Its a wonderful story! Also if I still dont understand what is true and what not ... When the modern Tom was real, how could he when he existed while bill was dead (and the modern bill) and the old tom was in his world? Or was the modern Tom never real but just a imagination? but then everything would have been an imagination in the modern world ... or what ever it was, where dead bill was ...
Is there even a logic explanation to that? :'D

Modern Tom was real, and then he died. Basai Bill was real, and then he died. Modern Bill lived in our reality, being all a rock star and everything, while Basai Tom lived in his reality, being the Emperor. So both realities are real, they're just alternates of each other.
This story is 100% fully written and slated to be 11 chapters long. :)

Oh the end was so sad ;( it's clear that not just for Bill but also for Tom the situan is painful as hell, having the one you love ( the one who loved you back too) back but doesn't not remember anything :( hope they'll be able to get throught their problems!
