The story was beautiful, I cried when Tom died and I felt sad when Bill abandoned the Emperor, but very happy when Bill decided to be the Prince of the Emperor because living in a world without Tom was no longer possible.

Tom is really adorable. He has listened to Bill and knowing the truth he doesn't push him.
It's nice the way they act during the banquet, Tom is very attentive and Bill bonds to him. I really think it could work between them, now that they know they're not tweens

I like very much the association between tatoos and slavery.
It's so sad for them two. Facing one another and thinking that they only look like the beloved person they have lost ! And for Tom it's difficult to understand that Bill is coming from another world. Will he accept Bill's explanation. I'm not sure he will.

It's a difficult situation for Bill but for Tom too. I like the fact that they don't simply fall in love but Bill tries to resist because he can't accept such feelings. I wonder how they're going to cope with their different memory of their past lives. It's really captivating.

Hello,
The situation is strange and raises the question of his arrival in this world. It's a very good start.
One little objection though : Bill doesn't seem perturbated by the situation of being in an unknown place without his family, his friends, his life...
The only positive point at this stage,is that Tom is alive.
Author's Response: Bill's a trooper. He's used to waking up and having no idea where he is and having to figure that out later. And, hey, never hurts to be polite and soak up info to find out wtf is going on when you suddenly find yourself shifted out of reality.

This is a great story that has really inspired me. Even though it has a sad background, since both have lost their 'other half'. But fate has brought them together so that they can be happy again. It was a pleasure for me to read the story and next I will read the Basai-series even if I'm honestly not yet quite sure if I really like the pairing Tom / Tom. But I just let myself be surprised.

Author's Response: You can't really take away a twin without giving them something back. It's just too sad otherwise.
A lot of people were real iffy on the Tom/Tom back in the day, but, in the end, they seemed to have liked it, so that was kinda cool. ;)
