To get physically bullied is something fairly new where I'm from. No I don't live under a rock. It's just the children pick it up from TV I guess. When I went to school it was unthinkable to get provoked and not do anything to defend yourself. No matter if someone was bigger that me or had a million friends. I always fight back to defend myself. And you have to fight to win to set an example. Even though I was odd they knew I wasn't taking any b.s. from anyone!
Author's Response: Some schools have a no bullying policy, but sadly, not many. And yes, standing up for yourself should be the way to go, but sometimes people are scared it'll just get worse, or are even told to just ignore it because the bullies will get tired of it. Some people are more brave than others. Bullying just shouldn't happen at all. Thank you!

I really liked this. It's so relatable. I also went through bullying and even if it was "just" verbal, it was still cruel af. I don't suffer from anxiety, but there are times I still can hear my classmates' "jokes" & see their online words about me. I see it in the mirror & just the way I am. I don't trust people that easily anymore, even if it doesn't come across that way (I can be friendly, but that's it). Also, because the most horrible experiences and words came from "friends".
Anyway, I am so proud of Bill in this. He's so brave. I wouldn't have done that, tbh. I would've left the place after seeing my tormentor because I can't stand breathing the same toxic air, lmao.

I definitely know what you mean - bullying can change you as a person and it's heartbreaking to know it's because of the bullying. rnHe really is brave, isn't he? Yeah, if I was ever in such a situation, I should leave the place, but knowing myself, I wouldn't be able to without saying something. Thank you!

I'm so proud of Bill, too! He is so brave, I think I wouldn't be able to do something like that... Unfortunately I have also my experiences with bullying, although only verbal, and I hope that my daughters will never experience that...
