Yay. hiatus is over!
This was definitely a great end to a great week, even if I did forget what days were. (':
Love this chapter, it really shows Tom's progress, how he's able to think about stuff without wanting to be sucked into the ground, and to start thinking about the future as well as the past.
A few more chapters and he'll be able to hurl Bill onto the bed and do all of the things they both want without a second thought. :)
Glad the surgery went well and you (almost) have two eyes again! Try not to need it a third time. :)

ngl, the story very nearly ended here, because this would have been a good place to end. Tom's doing good, Bill's doing good, Delphine is probably doing good. Super happy ending! So hopefully I wasn't a dumb for keeping it going.
I better goddamn not need a third surgery. I am DONE with surgeries. DONE I SAY.

The surgery went great and I'm already back up to about 75% vision in that eye again. Soon I'll be reading small print again and it'll be awesome. :D

Author's Response: Conveniently, or horrifyingly, this is the second time I've had to deal with this, and most likely I'm going to end up needing surgery again (last time it was the other eye, so at least it's not always the same one?). I'm really hoping to get in by the end of the month, but it'll probably be early September. BUT it's like a week of recovery, so once I get that taken care of, things'll be good again in practically no time afterwards.
