What ... ? I mean, how ? This his such a sad chapter, they love each other so much but are going appart ? I'm so sad.
I can understand Tom's feelings, his worries and the fact he's not enough for someone like Bill. But if Bill love him there is a reason to that, maybe he should talk instead of running away ? But too much talk is not Tom.
I hope it'll get better. I don't know how they're going to be apart. They both going to be heartbroken. Tom think Bill will be happy without him but he will never get through this. They complet each other, there is no other way for them.
I'm so so sad for the moment. It was so well written and feel all the feelings and saddness.
I hope they will find each other again. (In the next chapter I guess i'm going to need tissues ? It's gonna be the goodbyes ?)
AND who's going to take Delphine ? I guess Bill need her, otherwise he'll be all alone...
Author's Response: They SHOULD talk, but if they talk, then Bill will make sense, and Tom will just keep 'ruining' his life. So no talking, no making sense, just wandering off and being sad.
I have to say, though, that I like that everyone seems to be concerned about little Delphine, too. :)

I mean, you could try discussing your feeling with one another and sort this whole mess out instead of running off, but that would be too simple >.>
It's fair that Tom feels they need space, but what's not fair is Bill blaming himself. Poor dude. He clearly doesn't mind taking care of Tom, it's a hard job but he's good at it and doesn't hate it, which is a rare thing to find in people. Tom needs to open up a little more and actually find out how Bill feels about all this. But again, too simple. >.>
I do hope he gets better and comes back, but for now, I wonder what Bill is going to get up to in his absence o.o Also, who gets to keep the dog? I feel like Tom should, because she helps, but at the same time, he'll have his mum, and Bill will have no one. Hmmm.

Both of them will always assume they're at fault. Doesn't matter what it is, it's their fault. Bill stubs his toe, Tom blames himself for accidentally nudging the coffee table that one time. ALL BLAME, ALL THE TIME.

This chapter was the saddest thing I've read in a while, how did this story take such a flip I thought everything was rainbows and unicorns? :O
Poor poor babies, I just want to give them a hug. When Tom talked about what's been done to him in the circus, I almost cried. He's got such a pure and generous heart he definitely didn't deserve all this. But he can't give up just yet. Nightmares and flashbacks are part of the healing process, he just needs to stay strong and accept Bill's help!
Amazing(ly sad) chapter as always, can't wait for next week!

Tom didn't deserve anything of what happened to him. He should have gotten a degree and a nice job and helped his mom get a decent place to live, maybe got married and had a couple incredibly precious kids, but someone had to come along and fuck it up.

And, was that DETAIL? I mean, I figured what Hubert Bric-a-Brac was for straight away, but for Tom to come out and say it like that, that was unexpected. Does that mean he's getting better, though? But then the ending suggests he's not, or at least, he doesn't think he is.
I don't know whether to be concerned or interested to find out what he's going to do, so I'm going to be both. And a little excited. I'm a sucker for tension, sue me.

Author's Response: Spoiler: preteen Bill thought puzzles were stupid so he mixed all the puzzles in the beach house together. A solid quarter of the pieces in the puzzle they're working on aren't even in that box, and another quarter don't even go to that puzzle. They end up having to do four puzzles at once (coffee table, kitchen table, two on the kitchen floor) to try to get things sorted out again. Delphine keeps sleeping on the floor ones and knocking them around. Two of them are seascapes. It takes a week.

Bill picked up a piece of the puzzle they were putting together on the coffee table. This one was mostly blue, with a little green on the only side with a tab. He thought it might fit in the blue/green section he'd been working on, but no matter how he turned it, it just wouldn't go. Bill set down the piece, scouring the table for another blue piece and picking it up. This one had two tabs.
And thus the entire readership passes out.
