Poor David. I want him to get better.
Date: 08/05/15 02:05 am Title: 40: Overwhelmed
I know it's asking too much of Bill, but I wish he were a bit more sympathetic to Tom.
Author's Response: I'm sure he will be, with time. It's hard for him at the moment, he's so worried about what'll happen to them without David managing everything.
Date: 08/05/15 02:00 am Title: 39: Displaced
Poor David...
Author's Response: He really has got the raw end of things, hasn't he? At least now he gets a break.
Date: 03/30/15 05:18 pm Title: 38: Attack
Eep, David :/
Author's Response: It's okay. He lives, I promise!
Date: 03/30/15 05:17 pm Title: 37: Forgiveness
I think it's good that Simone didn't forgive him right away. Some things really are unforgivable.
I'd expect the average parent to disown their child after that, but Tom is a special case. He regrets it so much.
Author's Response: Not only does he regret it so much but Simone knows that if she doesn't forgive him she'll lose him. It's the lesser of two evils.
Date: 03/17/15 09:33 pm Title: 38: Attack
Poor David. He needs to take better care of himself.
Author's Response: He really really does. Guess who gets to make this all about them now...
Date: 03/17/15 01:11 am Title: 37: Forgiveness
Frantic? Oh no....
Author's Response: Who or what is it? I might take a day or two off from writing before I let you find out :p
Date: 03/16/15 10:30 pm Title: 37: Forgiveness
I am very glad Simone forgave Tom. I think he repented for what he did.
Author's Response: It's only grudging forgiveness, but it still counts.
Date: 03/15/15 07:23 pm Title: 36: Anger
A mother should forgive her child, especially since he cannot forgive himself.
Author's Response: She'll get there. She's just shocked and angry at the moment.
Date: 03/08/15 08:45 pm Title: 35: Runways
I am glad Simone finally came to her boys.
Author's Response: Me too, though it complicates things a little.
Date: 03/06/15 08:03 pm Title: 1: Cops
If EU people and, I am pretty sure, the UK people as well want to visit the USA for a short time, they do not need visa. But if they go there to work or to study or for longer than 3 months, they'd need a visa.
Author's Response: Huh, interesting. That explains a few things then. Thank you!
Date: 03/06/15 03:25 pm Title: 34: Public
I'm running out of things to say. No more superlatives.
I've read the two latest chapters, and well... Tom. What to say about Tom? He really is broken. And I can see that he mourns two things, as they do all. But I suppose it hits home more for him. Especially when Jost told him how Gust died, in detail. I'm fascinated that he still thinks he has a right to call himself Bill's protector. In my mind, he lost that right during Bill's rape. Even if he does try to atone for that (and he does indeed!).
I wonder if Georg isn't the most dangerous character currently? Dancing on the brink of total insanity since he refuses to admit that anything is the matter with him, that this hasn't effected him. It's very clear in these two chapters. I'd say.
Interestingly Bill is the one currently showing the most strength. He's come a long way. For sure, not healed yet. But damn, he has come a long way. And what shows the most strength in Bill is that he WANTS to be OK. He WANTS to work through this in any way he can. So maybe going to Gustav's funural isn't so smart nor talk to the press, but it shows that he wants to do something about it. And that shows a shit ton of strength.
And then there's Jost... Can I just cuddle Jost? I think he needs a cuddle. Damn... He is in a shitty spot. One has to wonder what will happen when the label takes their hands and money away from the boys? No Gustav = No band = No reason for them to stick with the boys. That could get interesting. And sad. I hope they have enough money to at least live day by day, if not in the luxury they're used to. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree, I'm starting to see glimmers of danger in Georg, he's got a lot of anger he needs to work out and he doesn't have anything productive to do with it. Bill is a lot stronger than anyone has given him credit for so far, but nobody ever knows how much strength they have until they're pushed. It was in him all along, he just didn't know about it. Is it too spoilery to say that David's health is going to catch up with him in a big way soon? Because, well, it is. Poor guy.
Date: 03/05/15 10:00 pm Title: 34: Public
I am not sure what I think about Bill' decision to go public.
Author's Response: I'm not sure either. I know it's what the fans would want, what twitter would be yelling for if they suddenly disappeared and there were all those rumors flying about and nobody said anything. I don't know how I'll write it though, or where it's going to go yet.
Date: 03/05/15 09:56 pm Title: 33: Tears
Why did David tell Tom how Gustav died? This was insane. Poor Tom.
P.S. Germans do not need visas to visit the U.S.
Author's Response: David is right at the end of his rope. He doesn't know what he's doing any more. He might not even remember that he's done it when he finally gets some sleep. He may end up in the hospital at this rate.rnrnIt's interesting that Germans don't need visas since British people do, my beta had to wait ten weeks to get hers. Still, there's waiting for a passport to clear and stuff like that, always takes time.

Sorry for the lack of reviews, life got in the way, as always. The last few chapters have been gruesome (I actually felt sorry for Gustav and I didn't want to), and so tragic. I'm glad that Tom got a hug, that David has reassured him he wasn't evil like Gustav because he could feel remorse for what he'd done and he'd tried to punish himself. I feel so sorry for David with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Life has changed irreversibly for all of them, and I'm not sure how they will pick up the pieces. Still amazing writing and so glad to see your stories featured. Hugs, Helen x
Author's Response: Thank you! I couldn't just leave poor Tom alone to suffer any longer, I had to do something for him. It might only be a hug and some reassuring words, but it's better than he's had so far. As for Gustav... well, it seems like I have a knack for making people pity the worst characters.
Date: 03/02/15 08:38 am Title: 32: News
Poor, poor Jost! I do feel so sorry for him. He really does struggle, doesn't he? More than the remaining boys knows. It makes sense though that they'd think it was their little trouble that he'd want to talk about. I just feel more and more sad for JOst the more this goes on. Becuase he sits in a terrible place, doesn't he? He's the contact for the press, for the label, for the boys. He has to run between them and go with messages between them. And also deal with anything that comes up. No wonder he's stressed the hell out. And probably lives of coffee.
And now they know. What happened to Gustav. I have to wonder what is going on in Tom's head. That's the only thing I missed in this chapter. I really really want to know that to be honest. Since Jost returned to Tom's room, I have hope we'll find out. *crosses fingers*
Georg is really highstrung on protetcing Bill, isn't he? Almost punching David down for being to close to Bill. Not quite healthy that... Let's hope he calms down on that eventually. Bill seems to like it though. Having Georg as a gaurd-dog as it were. Oh, and bloodthirsty Bill! Gustav pulled that out of Bill, I believe. By raping him. He is right though. Now he don't have to fear a trail. Neither does he have to be fear him to the point of not daring to go outside or having nightmares about Gustav coming to get him. At least one hopes.
Amazing chapter. :-) Looking forward to see what you will throw at us next!
Author's Response: Thank you! Your finger-crossing wishes have been granted, but I warn you it's not all that pretty. Georg definitely isn't entirely healthy, though in his defense he felt like David was being insensitive about Bill's recovery, so it was more than than just David being too close. He does made a very nice guard dog though, and who wouldn't want guard-Georg, really? And Jost? Poor guy. I wasn't ever planning on him being someone to be pitied in all this but he's really started to get that way, hasn't he? I think I nice long vacation is in the works for him somewhere toward the end of things.

Gustav of course an evil bastard, but none deserves to die this way.
I feel very sorry for David. The guy carries all the burdens on his shoulders. And I feel sorry for Tom, he doesn't get moral support anymore. Where are Bill's and Tom's mother. I think it's unrealistic that she did not fly out to be with her injured sons.
Great chapter!
~~~~~~~~
P.S. Congrats on being featured! This is wonderful!
Author's Response: Thank you! Their mother will be with them soon. If not the next chapter then the one after, that'll all be explained. I was definitely angling for people to feel more sorry for David than anyone else lately, I think he's very under appreciated just in general.
Date: 02/28/15 06:23 pm Title: 31: Fame
Oh crap. And it started so sweet and wonderful all around. Even with the heavy talking and all that. And then it all went to hell and quick. I mean, I'm sure that first guy didn't mean anything bad by it, he just didn't know about the baggage Bill and Georg carried with them. It's not always easy if you don't suffer from mental illness yourself to see the signs, you know? I love how Georg went into protection-mood almost instantly. It might have caused troubles for them, but I mean there was no other way to react I don't think. And they still have no idea what has happened to Gustav...
Jost needs a vacation soon, poor guy... Since I suppose he'll be delievering the news about Gustav? And has to take care of the fallout after the incident Georg and Bill just had. One has to hope it didn't push Bill to far back again. Let's keep our fingers crossed. :-)
Author's Response: Long sunset walks on the beach with the person you love are pretty much the best thing ever, aren't they? Lady Gaga was right, fame is a monster. I think the next chapter will be dealing with the fallout and Gustav's death.
Date: 02/28/15 03:14 pm Title: 30: Gustav
I am honored I got a preview for this. And that you trusted me enough to let me comment on it. Thank you. Really. :-) It's a great honor. It's an amazing piece of writing. A throwback to the brutal rape Gustav did to Bill. And now Gustav is the victim. What comes around goes around... Karma and all that. You are really really good at writing these brutal things. (Sons of Anarchy, anyone?) You make it work and work very well. The rest I already told you in the original comments, but I just wanted you to know that I love this chapter. And am now going to jump into the next one with curiosity. :-)
Author's Response: You're welcome! Your comments were really helpful in figuring out what I was doing right and without you I couldn't have made the decision to write that chapter anyways. I think that's probably as brutal as this fic, or any fic I write, is going to get to be honest.
Date: 02/28/15 01:21 am Title: 31: Fame
Poor Bill. It is good that Georg is always near.
Author's Response: Good for Bill, not so good for poor David who now has extra work to do.
