Awh, it's breaking my heart. They'll never be like they were before, but I still hope they can find a way back to each other. Maybe not as close as before, but I hope that if Tom gets the right help Bill can learn to trust him again. Tom really feels like shit for what he did, and he doesn't deserve to be punished for it his whole life. He's got some serious problems, and even though it'll never make what he did any better it's still something he should forgive himself for, even if it takes time.
Author's Response: They definitely won't ever be like they were before, but they might one day achieve something close to it. They still love each other; they just have to rebuild the trust and closeness that they once had. Something tells me Tom will forgive himself only when he's certain that Bill forgives him. Maybe.

Oh, hell, I'm really starting to feel sorry for Tom and I didn't want to do that, but it's such a distressing situation. What the twins really need is each other, but that's not possible since Bill can't completely forgive or trust Tom, and Tom can't forgive himself. Their relationship is really damaged beyond repair because they will never be able to completely go back to the way things were before, no matter if they manage to mend things to some extent there will always be a crack that weakens the bond they once had. So very sad.

I hope that the therapist can really help Bill, it seems she'll be good for him if she can talk him round where Georg failed. But then I guess Bill can't manipulate her like he can Georg. Georg is so amazingly patient with Bill, but loving Bill like he does means he can't say no to him. And Bill must trust Georg absolutely to invite him to sit in the bathroom while he showers. I am so hoping Georg doesn't get his heart completely broken, but I'm sensing things are headed in that direction since Bill won't need him the same once he starts to feel better about life. Sorry for dissecting everything but you've got me really involved with the story and the way you portray your characters.
Author's Response: If you're getting all involved, that means I'm doing something right. I'll take that as a good sign! I'll try my hardest not to break Georg's heart, but I can't make any promises there. He's got it bad. Probably bad enough that he'd say it was worth it, no matter how badly broken he gets.

Awh Bill, my heart is breaking for him, and for Georg. It must be so hard to be a good friend in a situation like this, and he must feel so useless sometimes.
I really hope this person can help Bill, I really, really hope so. Poor thing. But at least he's willing to take a shower in the end, it's one tiny step in the right direction.

Author's Response: Thank you! Georg definitely does feel useless, but he's making more of a difference than anyone is willing to admit. That's where the therapist comes in, actually. She's going to start insisting that Bill recognize the difference that Georg is making.

That was a nice chapter, I loved it! Ever since I read the 15th chapter yesterday, I was wondering about that therapy thing. Is David really thinking that he just has to send Bill away and will get him back fixed and as good as new, ready to go to work again? I know it's been a lot for David, too, but I wonder more an more what his objectives and intentions really are. Why is HE deciding when and if Bill is allowed to see Tom, for example?
(And where the hell are the parents, other friends, whatever? Or did you just choose to ignore them cause the storyline is working better this way?)
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! David has got himself a bit stuck on a one-size-fits-all response. He's thinking of therapy as being a bit like a washing machine. Put them in, walk away, come back and the job is done. He's not quite prepared for the realities of Bill's healing. As for parents and friends - the band are off on tour, so their parents are back in Germany and they're in the USA. it puts David in the surrogate parent role, and isolates the band from a lot of support they might otherwise have had.

Aww, there's hope! I like that! Bill was so cute trying to get more time with him, what a stubborn little thing he is, but man I'm happy they got a chance to meet without David there, and if Tom can get treatment and work on his issues they can be okay again one day, I hope.

I loved this chapter. It was really nice to see some more from David and I'm still praying Tom will get some help and all. I won't repeat myself but I feel sorry for him, I really do. I mean, what he did was wrong but he clearly got some twist in his mind that needs treatment. So yeah, I feel for Tom.
I've been super busy this weekend, and haven't had time to read anything until now, and I still don't have time to read it all so I'll have to save the rest of the chapters for later. But it's still amazing and I'm still here, just a bit slower than usual ^^

Author's Response: Poor David is doing a lot of work behind the scenes that nobody else gets to see. It really affects his judgement though, as we'll see later on. As for Tom getting treatment, well, it might be a case of be careful what you wish for.

I think what happened to Tom distracted Bill for a moment from his own issues which is probably good.
My heart aches for Georg. Poor guy. Bill should not take advantage of him like that. But it seems that Bill has a one-track mind these days.
Author's Response: You're absolutely right that Bill is using Tom as a distraction from his own issues. That's one of the reasons David is trying to keep them apart a bit. Once again, David is so busy trying to protect them from outside harm that he's missing the very real harm Bill might accidentally do Georg.

I am surprised that David uses a personal phone for work. Sounds weird to me. In real life there is probably a phone number (but more likely there is also a person to assist with that) to communicate with press, and a number for more personal communication.
Author's Response: I think there's a press team dealing with most of it, but people desperate for a story don't quit, so they'll call any number they can get their hands on. Only takes one person being a bit unscrupulous to leak his personal number and then everyone has it.
