I'd never imagined this was the reason Tom left without explanation. Poor Billinda! :( Being there for her is probably been the first mature thing Tom ever did; it's so very moving and it shows he has a big heart, after all – I don't think he stayed by Bill's side out of his bad conscience.
Once Tom said he and Billinda were like twins so, in spite of him being afraid to tell her he likes guys too, I think he knew, deep down inside, that she already suspected something and that, eventually, she would be understanding, because she's smart and unconventional.
OMG! I love how this fic ends squeals in awe I was hoping they could spend a night together but I'd never imagined they intended to build such a wonderful relationship! Also, I would be so, so sad if Billinda wad dumped. I usually hate female characters but, hey, this is Bill and it's impossible to wish her sorrow! You truly outdid yourself here, honey.
Now my hope is that Georg won't be just “uncle Georg” or better, I'm posivtive he'll be “dad Georg” exactly as the younger one will be “dad Tom”.
As a final note, I want to say this story deserved way more readers because it's very original, there are a plot in the plot (the movie), suspense, fun, feelings, sex and nothing misplaced or out of character. Well, those who didn't read it have missed something great.
Author's Response: Yes, poor Bill has been through a very tough time but she made it out on the other side thanks to Tom's constant support. He really does love her and he had hoped that she would be understanding so when she found out about the affair and encouraged him to go find Georg again, Tom must have felt like he won the lottery! How could you dump an awesome girl like that?? I'm so thrilled that you love how this ends. Well, YOU actually are the reason why this fic ended the way it did. You made the suggestion some time ago that it would be nice if Bill could fall in love with Georg too somehow...and so I wrote it in! Ok, what Georg did in the café was not flirting; it was more than that, namely he let Tom see he has never moved on and he's still affected just by his very same presence.
Also, if you're not in love with someone anymore and this someone sneaks into your room, you'd be either annoyed or have a good laugh because you'd think he's pathetic. You sure wouldn't talk to him, tell him he broke your heart and ask questions that seem aimed to ascertain whether the intruder has feelings for you or if he's just looking for a hot night.
Yeah, smart move (not). Georg kissing Tom and pretend he's acting dominant? He can't fool himself and, actually, he doesn't. At this point, I think he's already screwed – and not in the best meaning of the word XD
Whether Tom leaves or stays and have sex with him, Georg is going to go through the hell he fears over again, and I think he knows it even too well.
I noticed he didn't let Tom finish an important sentence about “this won't be cheating anymore”. Has the younger actor tried to say he's broken up with Billinda?

This is kind of how I hoped things would end up. Well, actually I wanted Tom and Georg to be exclusive but then felt bad that Bill would be alone so this is the best scenario for everybody to be happy. The only regret is that Bill and Tom can be open about their relationship but Georg and Tom (with Bill) will need to keep things under wraps. Love the final line, though...'Her men had arrived.' Georg's emotions and thoughts are so real; they're something I guess every one of us can relate to.
I, for one, I've never wanted to have something to do (apart from friendship) with someone who was already in a relationship. You want to cheat on your partner? Ok, but I won't surely help you in doing so.
Georg is now able to excuse Tom somehow; he did was a kid back then, and a troubled one, I'd add. Also, it's true that as long as you cling to the past, comparing everybody to your ex-partner, you will never be able to fall in love, let alone have a fulfilling relationship. There's one thing I'm curious about: Georg had relationships and one-night stands. Were all of them with women only or also with guys?
Being an actor gives Georg a break. I think he's not one of those actors who play roles; he 'becomes' the character he must impersonate, with problems, thoughts and things to do differing from his own life.
Of all places Georg thought he would see Tom again (a music store, a cab passing by), they meet in a quiet café, probably not so much attended by stars. The 'cappuccino genie living in his mug' hahaha. I think I should have cappuccino more often and it's no surprise Georg has another one, just in case, you know....
The way Tom has become, how he talks about himself with Georg is wonderful and sad at the same time. I know he was a kid back when the two of them were sort of a couple, but I can't help wishing he were like he is now from the start. As for Georg, who wouldn't love his stammering and acting again like a teenager with a huge crush?
I'm impressed by how you explained Tom's current looks; he bulked up because of his boxer role and he grows a beard (and probably he also bought that 'moth-eaten' top, the one that would make me look like a beggar XDD) for the next character he'll play.
I can't see any flirting by now. Georg is still in love, that's obvious, but they are just a couple of old friends who have had a lot in common and share old memories belonging to the past. But we'll see....
Author's Response: Hello again! Georg may have had relationships and one-night stands with a few guys, but he would have been very discreet about it and not gone public. I'd say he's inclined to be bi now but is not open about it or talks about it, because a lot of actors and celebrities do the same and keep their sexuality private. Haha, sometimes I wish I had a cappuccino genie too! XD Yeah, I much prefer Tom the way he is now in the story, more grown up and focused, than the irresponsible kid he was back at the beginning. In real life I have been in a relationship with a 19 year old who acted a lot like Tom and it drove me NUTS! I cared about him but he had no freaking idea what he was doing with his life and acted hot and cold towards me (wanting to be around me one day and not the next) and it was so, so frustrating. So yeah, I much prefer more mature men these days! True, Tom being an actor means he has a valid reason for changing his looks often so I pretty much made him have every single style he has had in real life in this fic (except dreadlocks lol). Ah, the moth-eaten top. Only Tom could get away with wearing that! As for him and Georg, they may be acting like old friends now but sometimes old memories and feelings can resurface after a long time... ;) Thank you once again for your thoughts on this chapter!

He used a tone of voice I have not ever heard from him, like he wasn't taking any shit and nobody should fuck with him, and I seriously wanted to jump his bones right then and there, haha! I never knew he could be so commanding and take charge like that. All the other guys were sitting there and Georg was the one who stepped up and voiced how unimpressed they were. Speaking of art imitating life.... Miles dying into Joseph's arms is perfect; it's Georg's heart that died in the hands of Tom, and it's still dead, in spite of his grand plans for the future.
To me, his relationship with Hannah is doomed, like any relationship started right after being dumped or, even worse, meant to fill the void left by someone else. And actually all Georg can still think about is Tom.
I love Tom's suddenly shifting into his old self. No explanation on why he changed his mind, of what went on in his head is given, and that's so him! In retrospect, I see the very romantic atmosphere of the previous chapter like what Georg felt and how he interpreted the intimacy he shared with Tom. I mean, it now seems a daydream of the older actor rather than a mutual feeling.
However, since the story is not over (and I'm thankful for it!), I suspect the nightmare for Billinda is just about to start.....
Author's Response: You are so right - any relationship Georg embarks on now cannot succeed, because he's not over Tom. Maybe he never will be. In spite of what I said before, the chapter hasn't disappointed me at all. You made it veeery clear the difference between talking out in the open and being in the trailer with the one you love, ready to give you what you've dreamed all along. I think not even a saint could have stood his ground XD
I love the romantic and sweet atmosphere. It powerfully explains that the time of mere physical attraction is over; now it's love for Tom too, not only for Georg. I especially liked when he says he saw colors! Also, I perceive the dramatic change in Tom's acting and feeling as him closing his relationship with Billinda once for all and.... I admit I'm scared to know how talking to her will be :/

But yes, all the romance is undershadowed by knowing that Tom has to tell Bill what he's been doing and why. Surely that is one of the most awful feelings in the world, having to hurt someone you care about in order to make yourself more happy. It's interesting how Tom gets mad at Hannah just by thinking about her and here is my thought. He doesn't even consider that Georg could fall for Billinda, instead. She's stunning, smart and friendly, so why not? But Billinda is not even remotely as successful as Hannah and a bound between to superstars would definitely cut out Tom from Georg's life.
I'm glad Tom has finally understood that it's time to see things for what they are and take responsibility for his actions. In my opinion though, the only one who's been cheated on is Billinda and not Georg. I mean, Bill is Tom's long-time partner and, while she's unaware of what goes on, Georg has knowing it well all along and accepted the situation.
Wonderful scene when the two actors meet in the lot between trailers; it looks like a duel about to start XD

The guys' have settled the basic, good rule to start and carry on a relationship and that's honesty. In my opinion (and I so, so sorry it comes so late), Georg should wait before going all the way through with Tom. Ok, the boy now seems to have grown up but, knowing how he is, there's still the doubt his resolution won't last. Besides, if Georg makes love to Tom before the latter speaks to Billinda, he'd be accomplice in another round of cheating.....

That's a definite possibility and if I hadn't already written the last few chapters, her and Georg hooking up would have been a fantastic idea to explore! When I first wrote this, the Georg character was a lot more self-centered and didn't care much that Tom had a girlfriend. Now, Georg does care and if I was writing this from the very beginning again, perhaps I would make him wait. However, there are fans that have been waiting for the guys to get together and after 24 chapters I thought I should reward them with what they want. But yeah, you have some very valid points and if it wasn't already written, I may have changed some things to better reflect Georg's moral character. Although, sometimes even the most morally upstanding people make mistakes when it comes to love...
