I am back with more detailed comments. :)

I love Gustav more and more with each chapter. He is a great friend and a very decent person. Tom has lucked out with him, no doubt.

Tom and Gustav expected Bill to crack first at Bill's game, but it did not happen... It seems that Tom cannot be detached when he is with Bill no matter how hard he tries. But I did not expect him to give up so easily. It looks like neither did Bill.

This Lee guy is a scum. He got what he deserved. If Bill knew what Lee said about him, may be he would not defend him. I still hope that Natalie is a good friend to Bill, but she is just a bit too catty.

I love that Tom feels so protective of Bill. Tom needs to regroup and try to reach out to Bill again in a different way. There has to be something that he can do to help Bill see that they need to be together and that Tom would not let down Bill again.

In short, this is a great chapter! I am so happy you are back to updating. Please do not leave this story for so long again. I cannot wait to know what will happen next!

Yes, I love Gustav too. He's kinda like marmite in some terms though. Not everybody loves him or how to handles certain situations, but there are still a whole lot of people who do love him and how he handles certain situations, so I'm particularly happy that you're one of those that do love him. And that's true, Tom and Gustav did underestimate Bill and think he would crack first, but upon his first sexual experience with Bill again this time around - he knew there was no getting through to Bill but he did continue for a small while and ultimately "gave up" when he realised Bill's mask was firmly in place and wouldn't drop anytime soon. And you're right with that last point, Tom is protective of Bill, he always has been and it's not something he can just turn off. But he does have to reach out to Bill in a different way now and hopefully trying another technique will work out for them both in the end - HOPEFULLY.

Okay that Lee kid is just so fucking annoying! But I don't really think Tom should've punched him that hard :/ But it was nice to find out that the reason why he's such a dick to Tom is 'cause Natalie is his sister. It makes sense. But Lee was entirely too mean to Bill! He was trying to help him and still he was just slapping his hands away and talking rudely :( Daaaaaamn, that Tom stopped the agreement. I mean of course it wasn't getting anywhere and Tom didn't get what he wanted but damn, I would've like to read more of their sexy times XD Bill is being mean. I think it's kinda justified by what Tom did to him, but he's taking it a bit too far in my opinion. Tom has told him all the reasons of why he was acting the way he did and even if it doesn't make it okay, it was a good reason. But I guess Bill's wounds are still way too fresh. But if he's been complaining to Natalie about Tom all the time, he might still have feelings for him, so that's good news! :D Great chapter, I loved every word! And it's nice to see that things are slowly proceeding so that's a positive thing! Yaaay! Though how will Natalie feel when she finds out that Tom was roughing up her brother? Daaaang, sooooo looking forward to the next chapter! And don't worry about the long wait, this story is totally worth waiting for! :D

I have to agree, Lee has been in previous Chapters and still is annoying as fuck, but he's kinda crucial to the story in some terms, hence why I kinda dragged this factor out as much as I did. Lee and his behaviour toward Bill will be picked up on at some point too, that wasn't just because he's an everyday asshole. Yas, Tom stopped their little fuck buddies situation and he didn't last very long, did he?? I guess he's the more mature one out of himself and Bill though; he doesn't want to string it out when he knows it's an already lost battle, it was obvious throughout the sex scenes within this Chapter and the last section of the previous Chapter that Bill was firmly in the drivers seat and wasn't about to budge either, and that's not how Tom saw it unfolding when he started this (however, there's a slight twist so please don't be too disappointed!)I do agree; Bill is taking the entire thing too far, however I think his bitterness is still understandable to an extent, hence why I'm drawing it out as much as I am. But things are about to change in some terms too, which I just hinted at. I'm pleased you don't think this is progressing TOO slowly, I kinda wanted to stick to a natural-ish pace for this story. And DAMN, I can tell you now that Natalie ISN'T best pleased about what just went down and she's going to be gunning for Tom.

Hmm.. Okay. Let's try to break this in pieces. So. I quite understand why Tom felt like they couldn't go to the sex part with Bill, 'cause obviously Tom is still in love with Bill and he wants to be like before; friends. But I do kind of get why Bill felt like they couldn't be friends anymore. Maybe Tom didn't see their relationship as just sex and no friendship, but it must've felt like that for Bill and I totally get it. They were having their sexy times a lot more than just ya know innocent hang out sessions, so that must be the reason why Bill thought that their relationship was revolving around sex, which is true in a way, so Tom can't really blame Bill for thinking that. But I do get it why Tom would be upset about the new arrangement, he clearly still cares for Bill and wants to have that friendship back, so it must hurt to hear that Bill isn't willing to go there.

And Gustav kinda has a point. Tom should just give in, 'cause it would bring them closer together and perhaps Tom could get what he wants in the end. And if we're being totally honest, I wanna read some sex scenes :D So yeah, I'm all for Tom giving in :DD

That Lee guy is a total prick. Like seriously. I know absolutely nothing about football, but even I know that much, that the game in fact is a team sport and the team is as strong as the weakest link, so they should play as a team and not pick on each other. So yeah, fuck you Lee, you're being a jerk.

Oooo yeah, you gave us a little sex scene ;D Good job! But it was a bit sad to read that there's no feelings involved anymore. That it's pure lust. And the fact stands, that this time around it just might be Tom whose heart gets broken. And perhaps it would be fair in a way, but I still feel for him. He does and did really love Bill, even if his ways of showing it were practically nonexistent. So yeah. But I'll be looking forward to read more. This has gotten more and more interesting by each chapter! Good job! :D

First off; I'm glad you were able to understand why Bill couldn't just forgive Tom regarding their 'friendship' but I'm also glad that you could also see why Tom was dobious to jump back into Bill's bed again - the hesitance works both ways in this. And yes, throughout STAY THE NIGHT, I did try super hard to show how Bill thought that without the sex, their friendship would've broken down and ended, which is why I've brought that back into this Chapter to remind people EXACTLY why Bill is doing what he's doing right now. And again, YES; Tom doesn't see Bill as a simple fuck, he doesn't want to be fuck buddies because he doesn't see Bill as just that - he sees Bill as everything to him and he's hurt that Bill is refusing to see him in the same way again.

Gustav is really wise within this story, I think. He was supposed to be just hotheaded, he would tell you how it is without beating around the bush, but I thought a characteristic that would go best with that is brutally-honest intelligence, too? I have to admit, Lee is a prick and he isn't really significant for this to evolve as a story but in a way, he kinda is too? I don't know, but you're totally right; if two team mates are at each other's throats constantly, it's going to bring the entire team down and that's not to mention that their communication within the game is going to be tarnished and put strain on their football work throughout the game. Yeah, I honestly knew sex would be a big factor within this, emotionless sex too and it's quite hard to write, but at the same time; it's needed to portray Bill better. It would be fair for Tom to get his heartbroken, I agree; but I think it's quite sad too, because he never intended to hurt anyone and he's already heartbroken as it is, you'know? Sad, poor boy < / 3

:) I am very happy with this and the way it's going. Glad we are getting to see more of bill and his character because we have only seen glimpses of him so far from toms pov. So the "closer" tom gets to him if we can see more of him that would be great!!! God I want to know and experience as much as I can from this new bill as possible!!!

The character change isn't really what's shocking but more the permanence of it. When reading it initially I thought is was simply a mask that would crumble but bill seems to be sticking to being extremely cold hearted, and indifferent towards tom. Although it's painfull I like it a lot. And I really hope this story like stay the night in which their is no happy ending. (Lol all we see on this site is fluff so I would like a little angst)

For entertainment purposes only ( cause I actually liked toms character in "stay the night" ) I would like to see tom suffer with him loving bill and trying to rebuild their friendship and bill just trying to have sex with him and nothing more.

So more and more of bill please!!!! I love his whole personality change and that we don't know what his motives or feelings are.

Author's Response: Hii there and I'm sorry this took a while to answer, I do appreciate this review and I'm so grateful to read your thoughts. rnrnBut wow, I have to admit that I'm kinda in love with this review because it's nice to hear that someone is understanding the situation as well as you are (also, I'm grateful that you're interested in the angsty side of this and find it fitting to the story) But I have to admit, it is super tricky to drip parts of Bill's personality and such into this since it's in Tom's perspective, so I'm glad you're liking that factor. When I started to write this, it was just a mask to cover up how hurt and angry Bill actually was, but it's managed to stay a pretty dominant part of him which does give people the impression that he IS this person now. Tom will suffer some more, I'm trying to balance the angst out though so it's not too overwhelming but he will suffer so I hope you enjoy that.rnrnThis review is one of my favourites so far, wow. It's nice to read that someone understands why I'm doing this and then going onto complement that too, so thank you so much and I hope you enjoy the next Chapter too < 3

Author's Response: Hiii, I'm glad you liked it. I found adding the pain into this particularly hard, if I'm being honest. I didn't want to make it overbearing and full-on angst like every other Chapter in this story, but I knew it was still needed, especially at this specific time. So I tried to subtly add it in there (particularly at the smut when Tom realises that it won't be so easy with Bill this time around!) so people could still see that it isn't going to be daisys and rainbows now that they're getting together (sexually)? I thought it would be best if I tried my hardest to balance it out with the other scenes within this Chapter, so it wouldn't be too much? Yeah, I originally wanted to write a prequel to Stay The Night, so everybody could see the lives of Bill and Tom before they became friends with benefits and how it evolved into them becoming friends with benefits, but I don't think I'll have time right now, (well at least not anytime soon!) so I thought I'd add those memories in there so people could see how close they've always been to one another?

I knew the quote didn't entirely fit as Tom didn't necessarily 'let Bill go' but he is giving him space and time so he can make the decision on whether or not he'll go back to him, y'know? Literally, I wanted Simone to seem wise, ahah. I'm glad you're gripped to this story though, it's always nice to read that, I just hope I'm able to keep your attention until the end of this story.
