I really like where this is going :) Tom's mother and her blind dates must really be getting on his nerves for him to go through all this trouble and fake a relationship just to not go her set-up dates! I can't wait to see how the weekend will go or them, and how they are going to act around others, pretending to be a couple.
I liked Bill and Tom's discussion about their "couple background story" and how they decide where they had their first date and everything, it was funny and represented well the complicity they have between them!

Though them pretending to date reminded me of me and my best friend doing the sane thing and I jokingly asked her out, then we actually got in a relationship, but it was all long distance and sad because we ended up breaking up and now she's dating my younger twin brother. I helped set them up and am hoping they produce pretty babies. And I'm rambling... I'm sorry, lol. I love this chapter and you are like a beautiful creature for posting it early. Lol.
