I have left a review on other fics of yours, but wanted to say that I enjoyed this one too! MAN it was hard not to want to smack Bill, but then again, Tom did fuck up so.... Eesh. So many emotions! The whole scene where Bill confesses he went too far and maybe he should step down was SO INTENSE! A great read!

Okay, I have to admit I was protesting like crazy throughout the whole thing. I kinda hated Bill and felt frustrated with Tom but the story still kept me riveted. Then the last chapter came around and I was like "whew, thank goodness!". I knew I loved you! :)
Author's Response: I just got around to answering some reviews I hadn't gotten to lately because I've been so busy, and I remembered you had reviewed this old ass story! As the author I felt pretty much the way you did reading it, but I promise you, it's almost impossible for me to make a sad ending :D Thank you so much for reading

So wonderfully written. Completely beautiful
Author's Response: I just got around to answering the last of my reviews and saw this from probably months ago. Thank you for reading this story. When I first posted it, hardly anyone reviewed :( I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

I'm really impressed with this first chapter. Tom's emotions appear almost tangible as more detail is given regarding his anxiety, regret, fear, outrage. I found myself feeling flustered alongside him, torn between hating and loving Bill. And boy are there so many incredible details; the one that absolutely sticks out in my mind is when you write: "[Tom] went and shut the doors and drew the curtains, grasping for the final threads of his privacy and dignity." It's so desolate and foreboding, and I love that it's followed up by Tom's only somewhat wavering resolution simply to do as Bill says and lie down on the bed. His loyalty to Bill shows through the text despite that he is in this position in the first place for quasi-cheating on Bill. I partially wish that some more insight into Bill's psyche and character traits were given a bit earlier on. He comes across as a hardass, but why is he like this? In my opinion he seems, at this point in the story, multifaceted in that he manipulates Tom, is cold and demanding, and has a very distinctive, commanding tone when he speaks; but at the same time slightly flat in his pre-story development, i.e. motive, personality, past experiences. Apart from that I find your word choice very refreshing, sentence structure varied and plot interesting. I hope my constructive criticism isn't too overbearing, and I can't wait to get on with the rest of the story. Unfortunately it's exam season at the moment, so I'll have to put off reading fanfiction until after I've done at least some revisions. -Kristina :)
Author's Response: Wow thank you so much for your review! I'm really glad to see one - and with so much content - because I haven't been getting very many reviews on this story. It's kind of discouraging, but a little understandable since the story is emotionally taxing. . . To answer a few of your questions, I'm the kind of writer that just sits down and puts down what I , feel like, without using an outline lol a little risky at times, but I think it keeps the story fresh and exciting. So, when I started writing the story, I didn't do much planning, and so I didn't think ahead to work Bill's POV into the story. I guess I could use someone like you as a beta reader;) Anyway, I think you might be surprised at the end of the story because I didn't use Bill's POV. . . Thank you for your sweet comments; I hope to see another flattering review from you again;)
