I keep thinking about this story. It really got to me.
I think that Tom loves Bill in his "Tomish" way, but he is in a closet and does not want to get out of there. Or may be not.
I really want a glimpse at what's going on in Tom's head. I cannot get it how he could break such a simple promise (to stay just one night) to Bill and hurt his friend of 16 years in such a cruel manner. One explanation is that Tom did not think it was a big deal. But a more realistic reason is that Tom freaked out of the intensity that transpired between him and Bill and reacted like a total coward. How sad...

Author's Response: Hi c; c; I was honestly horrified when I saw how many words it was. Before I even added the full-smut scene, it was bordering around 8000+ words, so I had to delete an entire scene and then I still had to merge two together. I thought 13,000+ would frighten people away in all honesty, because that's some bulk of text for ONE-PART. I'm really glad you were satisfied with how I ended this TWO-SHOT, I was so sure I'd get hunted down and my eyes ripped out for hurting Bill like I did, but at least people are anticipating the sequel now, knowing this is far from finished. Oh, Bill!!!!!!!!!! I feel so badly for him. Tom was such a horrible friend. How could he leave Bill like that? I feel like Tom does love him, but he's too afraid and won't admit to himself his own feelings. But my heart is aching for Bill so much. I hope you continue this and piece my heart back together! This was beautifully written, though. Seriously, it was an amazing job!

-- It looks like Tom knew that he cannot give Bill what Bill really wanted. Why did Tom insist then on sex? He knew that for Bill sex is more than just a physical act.
I hope Bill will find a nice boy to date -- someone who will deeply care for him. Bill can be just friends (with no benefits anymore) with Tom. They can go on double dates together. I want to see what Tom will do then. I do not think he will stay unaffected.

first, i wanted to slap tom for calling the guy who is so in love with him just a fuck buddy! then at the end i wanted to cheer for bill. yes, i'm sure he's hurting, but he finally sees that tom can never give him everything he wants, so he's going to stop hoping for it. can their friendship survive? perhaps. after tom does a shit load of groveling, considering he promised he would stay the night and then immediately broke his word. i can picture bill lying there, pretending to sleep, listening while tom does the same thing he always does, and knowing...knowing what exactly? that he's done wanting more? done hoping for more? i honestly hope he is. feels strange to not hope for a happy bill/tom at the end...and i am NOT hoping for a happy tom/ria. i personally enjoyed bill wanting to strangle her. hell, i'd help him. but i also enjoy bill starting to put up a bit of a wall around his heart, at least where tom is concerned. i'd definitely be interested in a sequel...i'm just totally torn as far as how i hope it will end.
Author's Response: Hiii c: c: The feeling is mutual, I think. EVERYONE wants to slap the hell out of Tom for being such an insensitive, dimshit. Bill did what he thought he could never do, he overcame his fear of being without Tom and he let him go to protect himself, so everybody should have cheered him on for that, because it wasn't easy. I don't think anyone wanted a happy ending when they read this, Tom doesn't deserve a happy ending at this point and Bill shouldn't have to settle for it either right now, but you've still got plenty of time to come to a decision of how you hope it'll end. Tom and Ria won't have a happy ending though, I can assure you, she won't even be in the sequel, but that will be explained at the very first Chapter when I upload it. Tom is a total asshole! I can't believe what he did. Couldn't stay with Bill for one night? He knew how important it was for Bill. What kind of best friend would ever do it? Something is not quite right with this Tom. Too afraid to come out? Wants to appear straight? Does not know what he wants? I am really hurt on Bill's behalf here.
What I do not get is why Tom wanted Bill's virginity so desperately if he did not want Bill as a real lover. Why would he emotionally hurt his best friend so badly? What was he thinking? I'd be curious to get Tom's point of view. Tom probably thinks that they will carry on as before but with full sex now. I think he is in for a big surprise. I do not think that Bill will play this game anymore.
I can see why Bill agreed to give himself to Tom. He does love Tom and it was important for him to make love for the first time with Tom. But it seems that now Bill has finally realized that Tom is not worth it. That Bill deserves better than this cheating, playing for two people Tom. May be Bill will be ready to move on now.
If Bill and Tom are destined to end up together, please make Tom really work for it.
In short, I loved this story. It really got to me emotionally. I hope you will write a sequel, as this two-short does not have a closure.
Btw, the love scene was perfect.
Write a sequel, girl! You cannot leave this Bill to hurt forever.

But I can narrow down Tom's reasoning for not staying - Tom's not in the closet, he's openly bisexual as he stated in the first part of this TWO-SHOT, so really; he isn't afraid of what people might think of him IF he ever entered a homosexual relationship. So you've gotta work out why else he'd leave Bill hanging like that. As for you wanting Tom's point of view, the sequel WILL be in Tom's perspective, you'll really get to know who Tom is, aside from being a shithead, and what's going through his mind. Tom is such a tool and Bill knows it but still gives him everything hoping that just maybe it will be different this time...and it isn't. I've noticed when I write I tend to overindulge in their emotions, mainly because I'm more confident in writing them than I am in writing actions, as actions aren't exactly my strong point, I think? So I'm really happy you think that ^.^ Originally this story was NOT meant to happen this way at all. It was going to be a simple ONE-SHOT about Bill and Tom being 'acquaintances with benefits', having met at a club and been sexually drawn to one another, but like this story Bill gains feelings for Tom, but then again - unlike this story, Bill isn't a push over and he insists on sleeping with Tom one last time before he kicks him to the curb for good. I'm glad you can sense the realism within this mess. I didn't want it to be sweet and fluffy, because really; the situation isn't that at all. Bill is far too naive in this story, he loves Tom so much that he believes everything word that comes out of his mouth. I like their friendship in the beginning of the chapter, it's nice, sweet somehow, and I'm kind of sure that friendship will either end terribly bad or you know, better than good, after this story. I don't think they can keep on being friends if this ends badly, and if it ends good they'll be a couple, I suppose. Haha I'm rambling.
I feel like snapping Tom's neck, kind of. I mean, BOTH OF THEM are doing wrong, I mean, Tom has a girlfriend, you don't fool around when you have someone, and you don't fool around with someone who has someone, so what they are doing is not ok. But it's still Tom I want to strangle because even if Bill wants to admit it or not, he's fallen hard for that boy, and it's so sad to see him getting hurt.
I'm very excited, I know you've told me some of what's going to happen, but I'm still looking forward to see where you will be taking this, and either way I'm 483% sure I will want a sequel *nods*

I'm glad you could see their friendship at the beginning, I really needed their friendship to be highlighted in this, because it's a major factor for this story. Yeah, I agree. This thing between them is going to demolish their friendship once and for all, whether that's because they become more than friends or because they hit rock bottom and fallout over it. I think everybody wants to smash their heads together right now, because they're so ignorant and blissfully unaware in their own bubble together. They've always fucked around with each other since their late teens and it just feels natural to do so now, but they've never/aren't backing off from each other when Tom has brought/brings in someone new, which isn't fair on the third person, ( which in this case, it's Ria.) but having said that, it also isn't fair on Bill, I think, (even though he's happy enough to keep hurting himself), because he's using Tom for sexual purposes to keep their friendship alive, (or so he believes.) Poor bastard, he's in too deep. I really hope what I've told you lives up to your expectations for when you eventually read it when it's uploaded and I'm so happy you want a sequel once this two-shot is out of the way. Thanks for the reply. I keep thinking about this story. What a weird relationships Bill and Tom have. Not sure why they both seem to think it is fine to involve in cheating on Tom's girlfriends. I guess their messing around started as experimenting and they justify to themselves that they are still just experimenting. Still this is not fair to Tom's girlfriends.
I am not sure whether for Tom Bill is just a piece on a side or all Tom's girlfriends are side pieces and his main relationship is with Bill. I think the latter is the case, but I do not think that Tom realizes it. I think it is indicative that no matter how late his dates with Ria go, Tom wants to go back to Bill (it's almost like he wants to go home, like Bill is his home).
Anyway, I hope both boys will realize that they belong with each other and soon.

Jesus, I think I'll write them more in the future or something. I agree, Bill and Tom DO have a weird relationship. I'll be going into much more detail about the depth of Tom and Bill's relationship, Tom's current relationship with Ria (without frightening away people bc this is supposed to be TomxBill) and mainly their justifications for their behaviour and actions. I'm kinda glad you can't decipher between who Tom's bit on the side is and who his first choice is, because that kinda makes this a more fulfilling to write?
