I want Tom to make Bill happy again! I want them both to be happy again...

And I still want you to lock Bill and Tom in a room together, too. And don't let them out until they've made up! I don't care how long it takes! lol. Oh, and there needs to be a bed, too. And lube. And maybe handcuffs as well... *daydreams* lol. I'm getting side-tracked now! But I certainly wouldn't mind 19 chapters of them making up like that ;)
As for the pace of the story, I quite like it the way it is... But, if you want to skip ahead a few months (to the fluff..!) that's fine by me too! ;) *hugs*

If you skipped forwards a few months, then you'd need it to be Steven's decaying body.
Seriously though, kill him.

I can't decide about the skipping, I think I want both. Maybes make them speak to each other, or just pass one another and share a smile, then skip. So there's something to hold onto, to remind us all that hope is not lost, even though it is for about 17 or so chapters, maybe less, but it feels like 500.
It well amused me that the chapter focused on snow, it was marginally fluffy, well more than that. But I think it's probably the best I'm gonna get, unless it's with Bill/Slag head.
It most certainly wasn't shit.
But you should know that by now, nothing you write could ever be shit, not even remotely close. Not even a fraction close.

And walks to a well, where not many people know where it is, and even fewer people visit. There is no where on Earth that the loves more.
He thinks of Bill one last time before taking out the knife in his jacket. This is it. It's going to end. A...cow...moo's too loudly, it startles him and he trips on the uneven ground, before plunging into the well, grazing his arm slightly before landing with a loud splash in this pool at the bottom.
The knife is no where to be seen, he's stuck, and drowning himself isn't an option. He's never liked the thought of that.
Shadows dance at the top of the well, he knows someone is coming, yet the feeling of unease washes over him.
Dreadlocks, that's what he can see. They worry him. Before he can do anything else, a large stone is placed over the top, trapping him in there forever more.
Seriously, that's how the next chapter needs to be, but with Tom/Bill fluff.
Ignore that that wasn't in present tense, I can't write that to save me life.
I'm glad that Steven is smart enough to recognise that Bill isn't happy with him, but I'm sad about it too. Even though I don't want them to be together, I do feel sorry for Steven, despite my wishes for him.
At thirty-five can there then be fluff, please!
I don't like there not being fluff, it's depressing.
I love your fluff too, it's so well written. In my opinion, you write it alot better than you think, regardless of what you say.

Hmm, I can't help but be happy by the way that chapter turned out! I feel bad for Steven, as he's right, Bill is just using him, and I like him... But somebody's going to end up being hurt, and I want Bill and Tom to be together so...
Bill seemed very rebellious at the start of this chapter, which was interesting... I wonder what he's going to do now that Steven's forcing his hand... He's still thinking of Tom, obviously still loves him, but will he give him a chance? I hope so...
Guh, I just want to get hold of the pair of them and lock them in a room together until they sort out their differences! And then maybe do... Other stuff, too... ;) lol

O__O So Bill still thinks of Tom even though he's missed Steven :( I love this story. ^^ At first, I started to hate it, but then I was like O: well... this is what's making it even better! lol Kinda reminds me how I despised the book New Moon at first ._. but then I came to uberly love it =P and I uberly love this story XDDD
