Interesting chapter, a little bit of a different pace to the others. I liked the way you're giving little snap shots of the back story of the characters. Damien obviously has a lot of issues, but then I find most bullies do... It's obvious that Tom hasn't had a great upbringing, Gordon doesn't seem to care at all.
One little typo:-
“This better be could,” I assumed you meant 'good' not 'could.'
