I'm super late to review game as I only found this site a year ago but figured I should go in and at least leave some reviews on my favorites, even though a good chunk of the authors prob wont even know, lol..... but yeah I wanted to say that this story had me laughing so f*cking hard! Just even from the get-go with Tom's road rage lol - never mind all his gay-panic weirdness later on, omg! Was also super cute!
Author's Response: Hello there, Nightshades! I'm so happy to hear you found and enjoyed this little story, and I definitely appreciate the time you took to let me know! I understand, when I first found this site it took me a while to figure out the whole review game and delving deeper into the stories, as I had just gotten into the fan fiction scene and knew nothing! Reviews are always appreciated and are definitely motivators, maybe I'll write another short here again soon!

So I am scum and have read this probably 3 times without reviewing. I love this. Now that I have come out of the shadows I will probably feel pressured to give it some reviews. Quality not assured. It makes me mad how few reviews this has. What a hypocrite.*bangs head on wall*
Author's Response: Sister, I know how you feel. I sometimes really have to force myself to review stories that deserve it. And usually I'm motivated by selfishness, because I want the author to keep writing. rnrnWe're bad. It's okay.

It was a fantastic story. So fun and romantic. I loved it. Thank you for writing something to make my day a happier one.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed this little story so much! Have fun translating it into Spanish, and be sure to send me the link so I can share it with others, too! :)

Author's Response: I'm so happy to know you read and enjoyed it, thank you!!! I had sooo much fun with this little gay story of The Very Gay Tom *sniggering with you*

Dear Margo, you haven't lost me on KL, I just stopped commenting because sometimes it's for the better when I shut up:-)
Author's Response: I'm so glad to know you're still with me on the never-ending Trumpero story. Hope that means you're still enjoying it. I loved your very honest comments. And it's very polite of you to not review...lol...between your long critiques and my equally long responses, I understand ! It's pretty time consuming! But I still welcome anything you want to say

I loved it to bits and I am sorry I haven't taken time to comment every single chapter, but it just wasn't possible, ok, sorry about that.
Once I started reading I couldn't stop until I gulped it all down like a hungry wolf:-)
That was one delicious story, let me tell you. And I don't even like cup cakes, as my sweet tooth is of a very particular kind (though I loved Bill's little cooking bravado when he was making dinner for Tom - that made me salivate really bad:-) . Your cup cakes still managed to wrap me in in one thick, sweet, fluffy, cup cake-y cloud I drifted on as long as I read:-) So, the main theme of Bill as a baker was really well handled and all small teasing bites of his creations we could only imagine was a really great touch.
Gus was a character to fall in love with, which I also did:-) He was funny as hell and he was an absolute delight to read. I didn't even mind all unkind descriptive measures you have taken when presenting dear Gus, he was a true gem in this story. He totally was. Plus it was really clever to pair him together with someone who was such a contrast to him. I liked that a lot.
Tom, oh Tom, I could write tons about his character because he was so deliciously nuts and bipolar. He didn't strike me as one who could have Asperger's, as I have my own little Aspee at home, but I don't blame Bill he thought so of Tom at first. Tom was definitely different and his inner dialogues and outbursts of anger cracked me up. Poor bloke fighting his homo core, lol:-)
So, all in all, I really loved this little funny thing you have created here, and I also think you write humor extraordinarily well. "Simplicity" of the plot sucked me in and I am really glad you had just such a number of characters to explore because in this way you could spend more time on each of them, following one solid plot line, which was a plus for me. Sometimes when writer explores the depth, when she digs deeper instead of exploring all vastness around her, expanding in all directions possible... that can be a good thing and it can also bring unexpected richness and clarity to the story.
Brilliant work!!! Really great:-)
Author's Response: G-and-B, it's so good to hear from you again! I was so sorry to have lost you on Karmic Lessons, I've missed your fabulous reviews. But I'm thrilled that you took a chance on this one, it was very fun to write, and a HUGE relief to have something so contained after the massive KL and Delusions. Thank you for saying you enjoyed Gus! I got a bit of a dressing-down for making him mean, but to me, he just didn't get along with Bill, so from Bill's pov, he was a total dick. I'm glad you could see around Bill's view of him, I thought Gus was hilarious, myself. As for Tom - in general, he's become my favorite character to write. I hope the comments about Asperger's didn't come across as offensive (to one with an Aspee at home - that really struck me as the sweetest take on something that I'm sure can be a bit challenging to learn about). Tom was acting so strangely, and Bill was still interested in giving him a chance (hard up, or just that smitten?...lol). Again, I'm so glad you took the time to read and write a review. I will have another fairly contained Halloween story coming up in a few weeks, hope to see you there!

You spoil me. You really do. I say this as if this story were written specifically for me. Let's face it, I just like to tell myself that all of your stories were written for me. Even the ones you wrote before I had ever even talked to you. Because we knew each other in a past life or something. See what I did there? Anyways, this was delicious. nothing better than a gay cupcake baker Bill turning Tom gay. Or bringing his suppressed gay out. I kept laughing to myself every time Aspberger's (I'm spelling that wrong and Chrome says it has no spelling suggestions and I'm too lazy to look it up) came up. Reminded me of Delusions when Bill kept insisting that Tom was an autistic with a drug addiction. You're beautiful and wonderful and I hope a unicorn visits you in your sleep and sneezes fairy dust all over you.
Author's Response: Past life connections, yes! Let's go with Aztec. Remember the ball game? Ha ha! That was so fun! Oh, until your side won and my side all got sacrificed at the big temple and our hearts were ripped out of our chests, our skin stripped off and worn by the priests, and our flesh eaten by the king (yep, it's all true). But because I thought you were such a cute warrior, I decided to come back this lifetime and write all my stories JUST FOR YOU! I was worried that the Asperger's thing would be too reminiscent of the autism thing, but with how weird Tom was acting, it was the only likely explanation. Besides, of course, the fact that Tom was a super repressed homo. I'm so glad you feel spoiled by my stories, that makes me feel all magnanimous and bestowy. I shall grant you as many as I possibly can. My Halloween one? JUST FOR YOU! And thanks for the wishes of dream-unicorn snot, I shall cherish it!

Sorry I don't have time to review each chapter seperately but as I've read the whole thing through I just have to tell you I love this sweet, fluffy story. As always you are amazing at setting the scene and its so easy to get engrossed in your characters and their world. Bill and Tom were both great, of course, but I adored Gus and Char...so bloody funny, especially Gus's reactions to Bill's cupcakes. Oh, and your descriptions of all that baking...not fair to a girl who's watching her weight. I used to make yummy vanilla cupcakes but don't any more because I can't resist them, but this story has me fantasising delicious gooey creations. So, yeah, loved all of it. Hugs, Helen x
Author's Response: Oh yay, you found it! I'm so glad, I thought you might have fun reading this. It was actually nice to get back to writing a story that's a NORMAL LENGTH!! I loved writing this one, finally getting into a little more humor (sorry - humour), which is something I truly enjoy. I'm working on a Hallowween fic that should be about this long, nice and contained! (I know YOU know what I'm talking about, Mrs. Epic Storywriter). Sorry for all the temptation! I had to actually do the research, which wasn't easy! (Okay, I ended up eating raw brownie batter one afternoon....)

Oh, forgot the say. I loved the giant rabbit Achilles. He was an important (and funny) character in itself. I just could not imagine a better pet for this Bill. Perfect!

I am back with more detailed review :)
I loved loved this story. Both Tom and Bill are quite amazing and lovable characters here. I loved Tom's corkyness. His weird behavior while he was falling for Bill but could not come to terms with being gay was hilarious. Bill with his suspicions about Tom having the Asperger's syndrome made it even funnier. I was laughing so hard at some moments that my husband came to check on me.
Romance between Bill and Tom was just beautiful and so sweet. A romantic in me loved it to bits and piece.
What else? Cupcakes! I do not normally like cupcakes, but the way you described Bill's cupcakes made me want to try all of them! They just sound amazing. Are they based on real cupcakes you tried? I did not know they can be so elaborate.
Gustav was an interesting and super funny character and so was Char. Bill somehow fit with them really well.
In short, this is a fabulous story! It literally lighted my mood last night and made me happy. Brilliant story! I hope you'll write more like this :)
Author's Response: Hello there, ura_hd! First, thank you so much for taking time to review and letting me know how much you enjoyed the story! (your husband coming in to check on you - could I have gotten better praise??). I loved writing this and was so excited to be part of the FQF challenge. I'd been wanting to write a fluffy little romance for a long time, since I love those types of stories on this site, too. The cupcakes - I haven't tried them, but I did find them online (doing my research - googling gourmet cupcakes, reading through hundreds of recipes, tweaking some of them here and there. It made me soooo hungry!). Achilles - you're right, the giant rabbit was perfect. I even did some research on them. They're almost scary huge! I'm glad to know you liked Gustav (and Char). Some Gustav lovers were a bit upset that I made Gus kind of mean, but I thought he had some sweetness to him, too. He was a lot of fun. As for writing more like this? Give me a couple months, I'm working on a Halloween romance, with Ghost Bill! Thanks again for taking the time to write!

Ahahah awn I absolutely loved this story! It's so cute. :D
Tom's personality was amazing I loved reading about his awkward struggles and when he finally came to term with being gay he just went full on gay, hilarious.
All of your characters were amazing but Tom just stood out to me with all his awkwardness. It's so well written.
I'm happy everything worked out for Bill and Tom! :3
Awesome story and I really like your style of writing!
Author's Response: I had a lot of fun with this Tom, with his road rage, his problems dealing with being gay, and his strange behaviors because of that. Wish it could have been longer.... Thanks for taking the time to write a sweet review, it's much appreciated!

I died when I read this: "in a tight, heterosexual hug". Haha Tom's conflicted thoughts and constant mental checks of trying to convince himself that he's straight are just so funny. I laugh every time I reread that line.
Author's Response: Poor Tom - fighting biology sucks. Glad this little story is making you laugh, thanks so much for letting me know!
