Quite promising start, I loved the beginning and I cant wait to see who's bed will Tom lye on in the end... please be Bill,pleaaase!!) I like Tom/Royce interaction, other in Tom's shoes wouldn't manage not to take advantage of him. As for Gwen plot, its getting interesting, of course its.seems the necklace its from one of the victims but maybe its not... all sais and done, you've done a great job aand as always I'm really looking forwards the next part. ( Im a sucker for this Bill/Tom interaction). Oh, and I live that Tom always inserts Bill randomly in his thoughts.

I'm so avid for this story and this awesome couple that I always come to check if there's any new reviews with an asnwer,yours normally reveal at least an inner view of the characters ...by now and because of that I ended reading this chapter up to 4 times lol. Ok and I will admit this review is a not well concealed way to try to motivate you to write ;) ( its not a 'update soon' review though, its up to you obviously)

The best part was obviously the plot twist from sexy time to the mirror part. I felt they connected in an even more deep way than when they had their first time.. back than i thought some walls already fell.. but i was wrong, that's totally the moment ! BIll used his strenght for the right purpose, i loved how he obliged tom to see that he can't hold into his scars any longer.
And love is totally in the air, they just have to smell it :) And tom to start understand that he was bill's desire even back than..
YAY FOR BILL IN EVERY CHAPTER!

Author's Response: So cool that you like passive Tom, since he's definately going to be taking on more of that persona around Bill. Well, sometimes at least. And hells yeah they were more connected here than even at their first time together! They are moving farther into the emotional together, crazy I know. I have a feeling that Bill will smell all that love in the air before Tom does. In a way, I think Bill is actually more capapble of loving someone than Tom is. He has definately had his sights set on Tom--though in different ways and to different degreesa as time has progressed--much longer than Tom ever has considered Bill as a partner. Thanks for telling me your thoughts!

Author's Response: I'm so happy that you enjoyed the mirror scene. I've known I would write it for awhile so it's good to finally have it out there. And I would relish the chance to get to see this story in print. But I don't have any connections in publishing, haven't published any prior works, and I think the story would be rejected both for lack of a fan base (most book buyers would want it to be a het fic) and for how much the plot/characters draw from other books (specifically the Anita Blake books). But I'm flattered that you'd buy it :)

I waited anxiously all day to get home and finish reading this chapter. One main adjective keeps popping up in my head to describe it: Beautiful. The way you describe Tom's scars, making his body so beautifully damaged, the pain is utterly palpable. Bill is so beautifully controlling, and the way Tom fights his desire to submit...it's just...well...beautiful. The story is so layered and rich, the supporting characters so real, even in their bit parts. I love it, I love your writing, and I couldn't heap enough praise on you if I tried. Thanks for updating, hope to see another one soon!
Author's Response: What amazing praise. Thanks! One thing I definatly wanted to do was convey that Tom's scars are horrible--not appetizing at all. I like characters with REAL flaws, not pseudo ones. But in this chapter I also wanted to convey that Tom's scars are the least of his problems. They're kind of a symbol in this chapter, for everything else in his head and in his behavior towards others that's holding him back. Bill realizes that clearly. Thanls for the review!

Author's Response: Bill's feelings for Tom have changed dramatically. He hasn't let on to the full extent about that. He'll definately be a little nicer. I honestly don't know if I'll be more entertained to write the Gwen stuff, the Karl stuff, or the royce stuff.

Oh, they're so cute together. I understand that Tom was upset, but he needs to remember that, while Bill can be conniving and underhanded, he still doesn't intentionally try to insult Tom. And magazines always spin things so that they can write the most interesting article - truth isn't their goal...even if Bill and Tom are kind of dating. Also, I greatly enjoy Tom bossing Bill around. I'm not a big fan of botTom (but that's just me), and I like how Tom is able to control Bill a little bit, despite him being so powerful. I just think it's kind of an interesting dynamic.
Author's Response: I'm glad you like the relationship dynamic. I have never written a gay couple with a dynamic as fluid as theirs. But I think that such a scenario more accurately reflects both Bill and Tom's personalities, as well as more realistically portrays what it is like for Two men of semi-similar dispositions to be in a relationship. But this fic is going to have a good deal of botTom, in both discourse and actual sex. Sorry it's not your fave.

This was so far my favorite chapter in the whole series, I savored every line of Tom/Bill moments. They finally camr to terms of where they stand in their relationship and somehow let the other know it's serious. I dont know if they realize how obvious it is its a deep relationship but they sure act and talk in a way it becomes obvious. The mirror scene was really an unexpected romantic moment,the best and more meaningful so far:)
Also,cant lie, I wondered for a few seconds why did Royce have to brush his teeth even if you probably didnt.meant it that way. Oh,also, That Vanity Fair article is hilrious, exacty the kind of thing Tom would be embarasses about and the.exactly kind of thing I would love to see people pester him about xD and finally finally I remember to ask/wonder if Tom will ever give his blood to feed Bill, idk if in this 'word' the pomme de sangue could ever be totally replaced if Bill and Tom chose so but at least I noticed that Tom is jealous of that kind of intimacy, referring to it multiple times through the series like sex in public so I know that at least on some level he sees it like more than just simple feeding and therefore something to.be shared with Bill. Author's Response: Well I'm thrilled that you're getting a feeling that this relationship is becoming deeper and more meaningful. I'm desperately trying to make it grow in that way, but without having either Bill or (especially) Tom think too much about the reality of it. The mirror scene was all about Tom letting Bill past his defenses, so yes it was meant to be extrememly intimate. As to feeding, Tom definately views that as an intimate thing, though not all people would share his opinion. The issue of sharing blood will surface later in the series, for sure.

Author's Response: Well at least now you get to read five chapters in a row instead of waiting, lol. Karl is back as a challenge to Bill, but more importantly: as a challenge to Tom. The damage Karl did years ago left a lot of scars on Tom, and not just physical ones. The return of Karl is a catalyst for Tom to get past some of his issues, and to move forward in his relationship with Bill as well. Royce will be an opportunity to stick Bill and Tom in some funny and awkward parenting roles, for sure!

Author's Response: Gede is super old. In this universe, vampires tend to become more powerful as they age. Sometimes they have an innate level of power as well though. Bill is an example of a middle-aged vampire who became quite powerful when he was still young.

Author's Response: There will definately be more and more intimacy between Bill ans Tom now. Rather than making things awkward, that first time together is going to break down some barriers for Tom. Bill's manages to stay alive (sleeping) during the day only when Tom is near becasue Tom is his human servant, and as such they enhance each other's abilities. New chapter by Thursday, sorry life's been quite busy.rn
