I don't think I've ever read anything written like this. The topic is also not so often been my favorite, but I mean especially the old, poetic English you used here, which was actually pretty hard to follow when I was tired and English is not my first, but it's okay. I just read it carefully. :)
But yeah, interesting. I will keep reading this!
And if I may be blunt,. I'd really love to read Tom "unload the burden of his love (preferably) into hiom." :D.
Author's Response: That was one thing I was worried about: the language used is really dense, but it's all part of the beauty of the story. I know there's so many non-native English speakers on here, and I struggled enough as it was to understand it in English. If it helps, I had a really hard time reading it in Italian first. XD I would also love to write all about Tom "unloading the burden of his love into him" so hopefully that can become a thing.

I finally got around to looking up a picture of him...ewww, poor Bill having to field that. At least Bushido was attractive (sorta, kinda, maybe)
Author's Response: I don't think he's all that bad looking for his age, but yeah, poor Bill. Though, I do think they're chemistry on the show is adorable. And bushido is a sexy hot gorgeous man. No "sorta, kinda, maybe" about it ;P

Oh, kinda like Simon Cowel and Paula Abdul rolled into one? Lol
Author's Response: Exactly. In my mind, as far as the TH fandom goes, he's basically become kind of like the new Bushido; as in, he's an older man who keeps making implicit public gestures that he'd be interested in Bill and I/we find it hilarious and so we pursue it in our own minds.

I thought you wrote a potentially very confusing situation very clearly. So I wouldn't worry about it any more were I you. *nodnod*
I wish we had seen into Bill's head a little bit more, what he thought of Tom's clever way of getting around Dieter's command, and stuff. But I've never read thr story or anything, so knowing those things now might ruin something later?
So...who the heck is Dieter Bohlen? I noticed him pop up around here recently, but I've been reading on my phone because internets been out and its too much of a hassel to look go surfing the web on my phone.
Wonderful work! I look forward to seeing more! Keep up the great work!
Author's Response: I'm glad I was able to make the situation clear - I didn't understand it when I originally read it in Old Italian until my professor explained it. The next chapter definitely has more of an insight into Bill's head. The character I based him off of was originally a woman, and this was 14th century Italy, so usually women didn't have much of a say, but obviously Bill will have some thoughts. Dieter Bohlen is one of the judges on DSDS along with Tom and Bill. I think some of us on here who've been watching the show this season have agreed that Dieter's a dirty old man who wants Bill, and thus we revel in the humor of writing about it. That being said, I have no idea what he's ACTUALLY famous for. Thanks for your review :D

Wow, talk about unique! Even if it's based on something, this kind of plot (to my knowledge) is completely new so I'm really eager to see where you go from here. Chapter 1 was a good set-up, and I'm wondering how often Bill has met Tom before, how Tom fell in love with Bill so easily, etc. I'm excited and hoooping things turn out well in the end...hoping!
Author's Response: You make some good points - the original tale doesn't give too much information about how many times the two have met before, under what circumstances, how Tom fell in love with him, has Bill ever outright rejected him, etc. the only thing that the original text provides is that up until a few days ago, the knight didn't know about this other man or how he felt about his spouse. I'm glad you brought up those points, so hopefully I could incorporate the answers to them in the chapter(s) to come.

So very clever! I simply cant wait for more!
Author's Response: Hopefully I'll have more coming soon. Maybe I can convince myself that since I started basing this off of part of "Il Decameron" that writing this is like doing my Italian homework.

that was incredible! i absolutely adore this! Its raw and genuine and just...absolutely magnificent...i only wish that it has a happy ending...most stories such as this dont, but if it does not i still will love this story. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm proud of Tom for being so bold.
Author's Response: Unfortunately, I can't take too much credit for this chapter, considering it was mostly "borrowed" but the next few chapters will be much more of my own voice. When I originally had to read the story that I based this off of I was blown away by the raw emotion while the man confessed his love to this other person. Hopefully you'll enjoy the ending that accompanies this :D

Looks like a fun story! Cannot wait to read more!
Author's Response: So glad you like it :D Hopefully I can take a long enough break from translating the rest of this entire book for my class to be able to update this again in a timely manner.
