Oh, no, Simone's giving up on Bill. I know she really has no choice; with Tom in the hospital he has to be her priority, but my heart bleeds for Bill. So devastatigly sad when only a few hours earlier he was getting his first motherly hugs. I hate Gordon so much I could do truly disgusting things to him with a serrated blade. Let's see how he'd like having something shoved up his backside that made him bleed. Of course, there's happines in this chapter too, with Tom's sight returning, and it was so sweet and tender when Tom could see his mum and Bill for the first time, and when he told Bill he was beautiful and stroked his cheek, I just melted. So, yeah, so many emotions over this one chapter. Really loved it.

Ah poor Bill! I'm in such an odd mixture of emotions as a result of this chapter. I'm happy that Tom can see but so worried for Bill. And while I'd love to say, "Ugh, Simone, how could you not go help Bill?" I also can recognize that she doesn't know what's going on and doesn't know the full extent of Bill's situation...and her son's in the hospital so all mothers probably lose any extra sense of logic or deep thought. I know mine does.
I can't wait for your next chapter. That was a cruel cruel cliffhanger...but such a good chapter (as always).

I think that Tom would want her to do everything she could to find Bill, not sit there stewing and worrying about him, when he's in a safe place with plenty of people to take care of him and any needs he may have.
Oh god...Gordon...shame...but...I don't remember if it was mentioned, but where did Bill get the money?
