Wow! I didn't even notice until the end there that there was no Bushido and how that was such a change of pace for you! This story has officially made me homesick. It also reminded me that I need to be studying my Italian while I'm in China... whoops. Bill's stories (especially with his lisp) sound fascinating, and, as a (dare I say it in China!?) church-going Catholic, I too am curious as to what his "before" stories indicate... As always, this was beautiful and there were too many good parts to comment on each individually. I just about shit my pants when I saw a new story from you! Last weekend I was so lost and empty without you. Anyways, I'm gonna go call my mom now and tell her I miss her because I miss La Famiglia.
Author's Response: Yay, you're here! And no, no Bushido yet. But I gots me some plans. I will try to help alleviate your homesickness by posting as often as I can. And why on earth are you studying Italian in China! Aren't you supposed to be studying Mandarin? It will help you once you're a political prisoner. I'm thrilled to know you're enjoying this one so far - it's a huge change for me to write a story that jumps years and just has bullet points (bullet points! for a mafia story! aaaahhaaahahahahaaaa!) anyway...pre-teen years up next and I'm excited. After reading several good stories about the twins developing a sexual relationship when they're really young (like undrockroll's), I'm look forward to trying it out myself. ....sorry to have left you in the lurch without the Delusions story (I know the feeling, spcf, I know the feeling). How interesting! I love the background you provided about their family. Billy's reports on a past life are very interesting. Tommy's a clever one. I really like where this is headed! Especially if there's Bushido. :)
My great-grandfather on my mom's side was a gangster in Chicago, my family says. He was shot dead over something or another. I don't know much about that side of the family, so it makes me curious as to what happened. Hm.
Author's Response: Glad to know you're reading, Melluransa! Bushido won't make much of an appearance in this part, but I can't leave him out, he's my favorite. We'll have to wait for part 2 to see what happens. And maybe the twins are related to your great-grandfather on your mom's side!
