I've mentioned this on other reviews: I came into the TH / THF fandom in Jan’22. The vast majority of fics I've read are quite old and I'm sure the authors have moved on (and probably wont even see new reviews), BUT I figure why not leave one anyway… I enjoyed this fic and wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing it!

OK I agree with Simone. She shouldn't breack their happyness because it's obvious they love each other and it's their life, however they want to live it. But if BDSM relation can seem strange for many, the basis of this one is much more than that. I feel awkward after reading this when I didn't when I read restricted freedom.
But really, I think it's a beautiful story even though nonstandard and would I meet twins living such a love story I would do as Georg and Gustav : I wouldn't judge.
Thanks for this story whose subject has made me turn things over.

I didn't know that there was a prequel to restricted freedom. The reason why I asked about how all that started between them in one of my submit. Anyway, I think it's better to read that now because discovering little Bill act that way can easily let know that he's disturb. Hopefully, the way he shows his love and care to Tom after the working session can reassure about Tom's life. More, we see that Tom agrees everything but he doesn't seem to enjoy. Just like he was mentally retarded. It's so strange, really. Peharps the Simone's point of view has to see in that feeling after reading this first part...
Anyway, I love to be surprised when I read on Bill and Tom, and with you, I can say I am.

LOL, Bill isn't disturbed but I can easily see how that could be interpreted. I definitely think we need to see another Bill soon though, just to make sure that's just a false interpretations.
Tom's not mentally retarded - but he's very permissive and submissive. But rememmber, like you said, you're only seeing it from Simone's point of view - she's not able to see or understand everything.

Wow. Just wow.
I normally don't read anything below an 'R' unless it's cute crack, but this story caught my eye for a reason and now I know why:
Your portrayal of Tom's mental state and Bill's ability to bring him back to reality is incredibly spot-on. His ability to both comfort and manipulate his brother is heart-warming, while at the same time being slightly eerie.
Excellent job, and I hope you continue uploading stories in the future.

Aww, that was so bittersweet and beautiful. I guess I'm like Simone; I struggle to understand that Tom doesn'tr need anyone but Bill. That Bill is the one keeping his world in order and his safety blanket and the reason to livbe and die for. You put it so cleverly; powerfully, but gently showing the holistic control Bill had over Tom.
In a way I think it has alwaus been like that in real life. Maybe not this dramatically, but wouldn't Tom do ANYTHING for Bill? And would Bill do the same for Tom? The nature of their dependence is just endlessly fascinating. Even when they're 23.

In this case, yes. Tom doesn't /need/ anyone except Bill, which is what upsets Simone. However, he wants, on occasion, some others outside that world that Bill sets up for him. Georg and Gustav, primarily. In reality, I think Bill is not all Tom requires, but he is the only who is not.... his role is not replacable. A girlfriend is as a girlfriend is, a lover is as a lover does. A motherly figure is not too hard to find in some respects. But I don't think he wants to do that. Ties are ties, strong or indestructible and I get the feeling that Tom is the one who is emotionally tied to people. rnrn
I wonder, would Bill do the same for Tom for in reality? In this fic, yes, he would without a second thought. In this real world, I wonder. They love each other and they would die for each other but what if is a powerful question. They are indeed fanscinating people, even at 23 years of age! rnrn

Oh! This is so great! I've been kind of expecting this (you did talk about a prequel of younger twins at some point?) and this is really filling my expectations. Very fascinating, interesting analysis of how the dominance between twins happen - subtly, kindly, naturally, but undeniably a bit... abusively almost? Yes, where to draw the line. That is a good question.
Author's Response: This was the first fill I posted on the kink meme, but I've taken it and expanded it some since then. I'm glad you enjoyed this first chapter. I wouldn't say... abusive in terms of physicality, but emotionally? Yes. Limiting friends, activities, who can touch you are all signs of emotional abuse whether adult to child, lover to lover, or in this case, Bill to Tom. I think Simone, in this fic, is being forced to confront that. Thank you for your review!

This was amazing. Incredibly well written, first of all, and getting to see a glimpse into the past of the entire nature of the twins' relationship since birth through the eyes of their mother. It's really kind of sad that she seems to envy Bill so much.
Author's Response: I think in this case, what else there to do but envy the son who took away her other one? She alone has that kind of insight really into the twins lives before the cameras and the fame, and the stories she could tell... I love her as a character - she's got so many layers and facets that I could write her all the time and still get something new out of her. Thank you for your lovely review!
