Stupid Tom went to sleep with the girl he didn't even like (well okay he did have money problems but he could have talked it over with Bill), then he loses his temper with Bill, they fight and break up, then Tom gets stabbed and he comes back to Bill's house to get a band aid... or twenty. And then they cry, kiss and make-up :) It's an oversimplified summary, but it's what I retained. And I really liked how you wrote it, you depict well what they're felling inside of them!
PS: Tom, next time you have a fight with Bill, getting stabbed is not a good way to apologise (I loved when he said that (but in different words) in this chapter, it was good humour to break all the tension and drama)
