Oh, it was you behind this fic? I didn't know...
But as I already reviewed this in LJ, I really like this. It's so painful and melancholic and tears open so many wounds. I can imagine how Bill feels, because I've been in close to that situation (though not that extreme), but I'm also frustrated to see him so stubborn, so unwilling to accept Tom's good intentions. It was heartbrteaking to see them apart, but the ending gave me hope. I want to believe that their love blossomed again. :)

I completely adore Bill's characterization here. I was somehow scared about them not being together in the end, but I honestly loved the way you wrapped everything up, in all it's open-endedness.

Oh my goodness, I adore this! Besides your writing style being concise, your story gives a full picture then sums itself up perfectly. I teared up a little at the end. You made me feel for these characters who are so like their real-life counterparts and yet so different. Beautifully written.
