I've mentioned this on other reviews: I came into the TH / THF fandom in Jan’22. The vast majority of fics I've read are quite old and I'm sure the authors have moved on (and probably wont even see new reviews), BUT I figure why not leave one anyway… I enjoyed this fic and wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing it!

Also, I wanted to say, That far better than any other author I have read in my life.. You did such an amazing job at Toms confusion over having gay experiences. I've been through this myself and you captured the feeling incredibly well, of suddenly finding what you've really been looking for, while having had no idea you were missing it. Also, that inexplicable pull towards someone, even though you don't understand it. So many authors don't go into this part of the stories at all, which to me is very annoying and unrealistic. It's a very personal and confusing time and I really appreciated that you give it the attention it deserves, it makes the story so much better when you can really believe the characters

A sequel is a must! :O this is an amazing story and I have been following it so when it ended I was " noooo" cries it's now a dire need to continue on to know that Bill final does fall in love with Tom and not just like ^.^ beautifully written hun

So trifft man in einem amerikanischen FFForum auf gleichsprachliche Gleichgesinnte, und liest die FF in der anderen Sprache xD
Auch wenn ich englisch liebe und ganz viel in englisch lese und spreche, um besser darin zu werden, mache ich es mir jetzt mal einfach und schreibe den Kommentar in deutsch ;)
Ich weiß nicht mehr, ich glaube ich hatte mal auf ff.de was von dir gelesen. In dem Zusammenhang glaube ich auch, dass du nicht so der typ für schnulzige fluff Romantik bist. Finde ich gut und erfrischend, weil man sowas eher wenig ließt. Ich hatte erwartet hier auf der Seite einwenig mehr drama, krimi und eben sowas wie von dir zu finden, erstaunlicherweiße scheinen die Amis aber noch schnulziger zu sein als wir Deutschen.
Nun ja, zu deiner FF: Schreibstil kann ich jetzt nicht so viel sagen. Ich verstehe schätzungsweiße 70 Prozent wortwörtlich, den Rest kriegt man dann vom Sinn her mit ( aber eben nicht wortwörtlich, vorrausgesetzt, ich übersetze es mir nicht per translater ) Daher: Was ich so mitgekriegt habe, gut ;)
Die Storyline an sich finde ich gut. Nicht außergewöhnlich, aber du machst sie dir gut zu eigen und machst aus etwas einfachem, mainstreammäßigen, eben 'deins'. Die Betrügersache fand ich gut. Mit tat Tom wirklich leid. Bei der Vorstellung die langjährige Freundin da zu erwischen und dann auch noch rauszufliegen ist schon heftig und wahrlich an der Ehre und am Herzen kratzend.
Bills und Toms Kennenlernen ... Standard, aber das erneute kennenlernen wirklich irgendwie schön. Besonders hat mir das mit den Tulpen gefallen. Man steigt nicht so recht durch Tom durch. Er scheint nicht verliebt und eigentlich auch eher abgeneigt von homosexuallität zu sein, dennoch ist er so süß und doch irgendwie angezogen von Bill, dass er ihm die Blümchen kaufte. Dass Bill sie dann nicht wollte, war schon echt ein kleiner Schlag in die Fresse. Da hatte ich echt Mitleid mit Tom ;) Als er dann später Bill seine Nummer gab und darauf die Blumen malte ... Echt süß.
Was ich mir mehr gewünscht hätte, wäre, umfassendere Beschreibung bei dem erneuten Zusammenkommen mit Laura. Man kriegt da nicht richtig mit, wie lange sie wieder zusammen sind, wieso überhaupt ( bis auf, dass Tom sein altes Leben wieder wollte ), wie sie wieder zusammengekommen sind, ob Tom letztendlich doch noch Gefühle für Laura hatte, und ob er es ihr verziehen hatte. Sie hatte ihn immerhin betrogen und rausgeschmissen.
Auch wäre interessant gewesen, was sie zu Bill am Telefon gesagt hat. Wieso sollte sie ihm gesagt haben, dass sie Toms Freundin ist, wenn sie nicht wusste wer Bill ist und in was für einer Verbindung er mit Tom steht. Und auch woher Bill auf einmal wusste, dass Laura Tom betrogen hatte und sie ja gar nicht mehr zusammen waren.
Das waren so Punkte die mir etwas gefehlt hatten, oder habe ich sie einfach überlesen?
Und awwww, das Ende ist so süß. Sehr offen und einfach, aber einfach mit dem gewissen Extra :)
Im gesamten eine gute FF, hat mir sehr gefallen!
ps.: Wenn du magst, kannst du mir ja eine Mail schicken? Würde bei Interesse ein bisschen schnacken, über das Forum, die FFs und dem englischen schreiben und Lesen ( ICQ oder Skype? )

Author's Response: Na das nenn ich mal ein Review^^. Um ehrlich zu sein, mein Ziel für diese FFs war es, mal "was Nettes" zu schreiben - zu viel Tiefgründigkeit darf also nicht erwartet werden. Du hast definitiv Recht mit Laura, das hätte man noch weiter ausführen können. Ich habs nicht gemacht, weil ich ihr den Raum dafür nicht geben wollte - der Fokus sollte auf Bill und Tom liegen und da waren Toms Probleme mit Laura einfach zu viel.rnTom geht so anstandslos zu Laura zurück, weil er keine echte Trennungsphase durchlebt hat. Nach dem Rauswurf aus heiterem Himmel war er mehr oder weniger sofort mit Bill beschäftigt und als diese "Ablenkung" verschwindet und Bill sich offensichtlich nicht nur mit einem anderen Mann vertröstet, gewinnt Laura einfach dadurch wieder an Attraktivität, dass sie zu Toms altem, intakten Leben gehört und ihn immerhin "weniger betrogen" hat als Bill. rnDie Timeline liegt zwischen dem CSD und dem 1. September, das sind ca. 3 Monate, wovon auf das Wiederzusammensein zwei oder drei Wochen entfallen, wenn ich mich da richtig an meine Notizen erinnere^^rn
