I'm so loving the detail work you've put into this story! I feel like I'm Bill and I'm all caught up in the excitement that he's feeling over being there and taking that course he's been clearly looking forward to.

I enjoyed this insight into Tom - some backstory and seeing his interactions with Bill from his point of view.
I like how you introduced your characters so that I start to get to know them, without feeling like I'm being bombarded with so much info at once that it's overwhelming.
I do not mind long chapters at all (the more to read the better), but editing down can make the story better sometimes, ya know? I have really enjoyed this story so far, the words and setting and characters are just flowing so nicely and I really am looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad it doesn't feel too overwhelming! I'm trying to crank out longer and longer chapters but sometimes I just feel like I've hit the end of where I was supposed to go in that segment, and that that's all I can do without it feeling forced. If it feels forced to me, there's no doubt that it will end up feeling forced to the reader, so I want to avoid that! I'm glad you've been enjoying it though and I hope to have the next chapter out soon!

I really enjoyed the way you wrote Bill's reaction to Tom! I so got into the details of what Bill was going through - the hero worship, infatuation, how every little detail consumed him, his "hyperventilating-ness" and how freaked out he got starting at the bus. That boy is gonna have a rude awakening when he realizes his idol is just a person too, heh. And I liked seeing how Tom showed a little amusement about seeing Bill too!

Author's Response: In ch 1, after the prologue, it says Bill stopped to compose himself at the benches at the bus stop. So when Tom gets off, he's in front of Bill who hasnt started walking yet! :)

Ooh, we learn about Tom's sister. I didn't know that would come up as quickly as it did but I'm glad for the background info and reasons Tom was teaching at his old school again. It's also interesting that Tom actually did take notice of Bill on their first day since we got no indication of it from Bill's POV :)
Author's Response: Well it had been in the first chapter at first before someone told me I should keep Tom a bit more of a secret for a few chapters. I have no idea where I'm going for the next chapter though xD

Fantabulous chapter. I could phsycially feel Bill's mortification. It was fantastically claustrophobic. Keep up the excellent work, I can't wait to see more soon!

Lol I can just picture Tom thinking Bill is a total weirdo. By the way Bill was acting I think Tom would get the impression that he was super intimidating rather than Bill being starstruck. I'm really liking it so far :)

Ahah! Bill is so adorable. I absolutely love his character. I can't wait to read more now that THE Tom Trumper is Bill's neighbour. It's too cute. I could imagine Bill squealing in delight behind his door all too well and it made me smile like a lunatic. Amazing.
