It was again a great chapter :) Bills "fangirling" over Tom is so cute. I am very curious what Tom is actually thinking about this! Good luck with school and all the imminent medical stuff! I hate when medical stuff and school collide. I always try to schedule any medical stuff I need done during breaks, but sadly that doesn't always work.
Bill is such a little fan girl in this.seeing things where he rally probably shouldn't, even if we know what he thinks he's seeing is true, he's still just kinda seeing what he wants at this point. So adorable though.
I love how modest Tom is. But I can totally understand people not realizing how much they touch other,people's lives through articles they write. Especially when you're not, like, a writer by profession.
Loved the chapter! I can't wait to see more! Keep up the great work!

Life happens. We all know that. I never understood why authors apologized for their updating schedule. I mean, more than a month between chapters, maybe, but you've got things to take care of. In response to your end notes, I think the chapter lengths you have now are fine. Personally, I can't sit and read long chapters. I find I lose interest more quickly the longer they are.
Having said that, though, I think it might take a lot for me to lose interest in this one. I'm really looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Ah, spazzy embarrassed Bill is so endearing! His idol crush is so cute. I feel you are great at expressing how Bill is living in/through his emotions and he really sounds his age (optimistic, etc).
Hmm, Tom does seem interested in getting to know Bill better. Not sure if that is such a good idea from a professional teacher stand-point, but probably will be better for a personal relationship stand-point. And I can only cheer at the awkwardness that may ensue.
Author's Response: Yay, I'm glad you think so! :D As for the professional relationship for professor/student...weeeell, let's just say he's not necessarily a real teacher, just a stand in for his own subject, and he lets his curiosity guide him, even though it's wrong.
There's definitely more awkwardness to come, don't worry about that! And, as this IS an age-gap piece, don't think that I'll be skimming over the awkwardness of the age difference and teacher/student dynamic!

Leana, girl, I just love this story to pieces! Bill's inner monologue is just so funny, but I'm glad they finally got to talk and Bill didn't actually stutter! MAYBE he can actually do this! LOL. I have hope!!!
As for the updates, just take your time and write when it comes, because I know very well that forcing updates doesn't work and half the time, you're not even happy with the results by the time you're done.
And I wish luck to both you and your mom and I hope everything turns out alright! :3

I really don't have to force myself with this story, it all comes so naturally and fun once I break through my blocks so I hope to get out some more chapters before things get too hectic in my life.

Author's Response: I based how he looked off the outfit linked at the end and that person had chest hair, so I just went with it. But really, that shouldn't matter because chest hair or any body hair really is natural and shouldn't be -that- shocking for a 33 year old character to have :P

I think I love Tom a lot. Not only because his inner monologue is just as awesome as Bill's. but because he definitely sounds like a man who is very well grounded and is also very compassionate. I love that he works with children who have mental illnesses and not very men his age would do that. I'm adding this to my favorites too actually.

I laughed when I shouldn't have laughed, but I've been in Bill's shoes about a teacher and while he was never my neighbor, it was still one of those things that make you go OMG OMG OMG, HE'S HERE, HE'S HERE! and I can't help but get flashbacks, lol. Still loving the detail and even more Bill's commentary all the way with Tom. It's brilliant and so funny, even if he himself was mortified. On to the next one!
