Author's Response: Sometimes I think what we know and what we hope for are two different things. The odds of Tom having survived that fall were honestly, about two percent. But if that had happened, there wouldn't have been a story, would there? :)

This is me being NOT surprised by how happy all these folks are to see Mayday here again. I remember the first time, finding a new chapter and having my excitement war with the dread I swallowed over what was going to happen to them next. However, I'll be reading again and biting my nails off as I take this harrowing ride for a second time, no doubt about that. P.S. One of these days you're going to give me an ulcer. Love you.

It shook me the first time and it still does. What more scary details do you still need to add, woman? I mean you said you were afraid to include some passages, I was thinking they were the horrifying ones... Anyway, bring them along! I'll be reading passionately, just as the first time!
Author's Response: This was the third story I published here and didn't know what was tolerable. It was a bit more gritty in its first draft and I edited a lot of it out because I didn't know what people could stand. After a few years, I know you guys can stand almost anything. I'm posting this in its original, uncensored form. Like I said back then...I'll see you at the bottom!

Author's Response: The warnings are subject to change as the story progresses. This a previously published fic, and it's 30 chapters long. Don't count on anything. Just know that I love these guys as much as you do. Love never changes realism. Hang in here with me...it might be worth it in the end.

Mayday is the only GEN story I have even read in THF and I am definitely going to re-read it now again. Gosh, I am so happy to see it being posted again. Whoever initiative it was to bring you back, I am gratefull that she/ he/ they succeeded.-)
I am looking forward to discover additional scenes you mentioned you would include. Super!!! Can't wait to imbark on the magnificant journey with the boys once again. The original chapter 18 has been haunting me to this day leaving question marks and confusion and I am eager to see if it reveals itself in clearer light this time around.
