It's great to see Tom trying to understand Bill's actions, and giving him a break, besides. I think it's going to be interesting to see the evolution of Natalie's feelings about their now tentative friendship.

Poor Bill, feeling like no one wants him and he's just coming between Natalie and Tom. Loved the drunken friends, really funny, especially Gustav. And now Tom is sticking up for Bill against Natalie...sure to cause trouble. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Ugh, what a difficult situation they're all snarled up into. I really feel for Bill here, I've been in his position before. Well. Without the dead parents, but a lot more fighting. It's nice to see Tom is warming up to him, a bit, but still saying some stupid things within his earshot.
