I'm so afraid to be hopeful for these guys because I still hear the clanging of the train coming down the rails at the end of the tunnel.
All joking aside, I love your writing in this story. It feels so spare, a little breathless, just like it's Tom's thoughts and heartache and desperation speaking. I love the way you're telling this story, and even the little warm moment between these two FINALLY feels like so much more because it's so long in coming. Maybe Bill is warming up a little?
(I'm still reserving tissues for the ending because I don't trust you...) (And I say that with the greatest love and respect for you!) (Really, you're that good!)

Damn, this chapter... I don't know why, maybe it's because I personally plan on taking Tom's change of hairstyle and it's reflecting on their past and each other to a new fic, but the idea behind this was so strong. Idk why, but it twisted my insides - in a good way, in a twin-way.
Thank you for making me feel twins as TWINS so strongly again. I loved the symbolism in here.

I love these two sooooo much. Even after all they've gone through they're still having 'first' moments including going on a 'first' date. For Tom to have shaved his head for his brother, it must be love. I adore this story and feel all warm inside after reading this chapter. I will be highly anticipating the next chapter. :)

Oh my god. This is masterly. While I'm reading my face goes nearer and nearer to the screen and I hang on to every word. It's so raw somehow. And Tom is cut out of a living specimen, he exists when you open this fic, lives between the lines. And Bill is a distant but very much present creature that's impossible to understand, or Tom doesn't dare acknowledge him - all is about his reactions, his current state - Tom is at his mercy and so are we. Still the vulnerability is there, or so he says - the moment I see and feel he belongs to Tom, all will be well. But I still fear he will turn and run.

I really, really hope that Tom doesn't do this in real life. I love his new dreads and would hate for him to shave his head. But it totally works in this chapter for him to wipe the slate clean like that and take him and Bill both back to the same appearance, where they look exactly the same, like identical twins should. I can't wait to see Bill's reaction.

He was sure, if it was sickness that Bill had, that he had the same thing. The images you paint with such small means - a few words, one or two sentences. It's amazing. Cutting off one's hair is such an enormous thing to do, especially when you, like Tom (and Bill) is/are so vain and care so much about the hair. And honestly, the thought of Bill and Tom with no hair making out (sorry, I am a bit in a twin-cuddly mood) is verrrrry sexy. Such a lovely story, in every instant bittersweet with the sweet slowly, slowly taking ove.r

I'm sorry I'm being silly, because honestly, this was a short but really poignant chapter. Tom is trying so hard to redeem himself, and it's interesting that after all his inner turmoil in the very beginning of this series about being with his twin, he would now pick the one thing that will make them more twin-like to do. I love how you've made the hair such a symbol because it's what a lot of us think about when we picture Bill. I just love what you're doing with this and how you make them have so much character and heart in so few words.

What I wanted to do with the chapter would have been so much short. But I added onto it to make it an actual chapter and then THF was like "nope! Needs to be longer!" so I had to add even more. But I'm really glad it held on to the poignant aspect of it, because that's what it was meant to do. And I'm so glad you picked up on the hair as a symbol of them (and the fact that the issue used to be that they were twins and now he's trying to make them more like twins). I'm glad that you're reading and enjoying it, and I won't even make any jokes about train wrecks, or car wrecks, or mishaps of any sort, okay? =)

Awww... They are twins and they always will be, nothing could change that. It feels like it became a game for them, they lost what was the most important, the most simple thing in their relationship. Just like that driftiong apart and dealing with them being separate people...
I guess I could give up on everything, but not them beeing twins. With all their hearts. I'd give up even on twincest if it was the only way to keep them most of all twins. Weird, right?
