I like the series, very well written, characters and settings are described very well.
The one thing I don't like is that it's crisis after crisis after crisis, so much so it almost becomes predictable. My opinion is that there should be a situation described, a crisis, then a resolution. If you want to focus on Victoria's mother, make that the only situation in the story. Don't get me wrong, I love this series, I just don't think it's very realistic, with all the bad situations.
