There are no words, really, to say how lovely and loving and just precious this story is. When I thought that kishmet really couldn't outdo herself, when I thought I couldn't love a story more (than Laying Claim) then you write this. Just perfect in every sense of the word, just perfect from the first letter to the last. I will read the last part soooo slowly to make it last as long as it possibly can. I have a huge crush on shy, sweet, sincere, sensitive Tom. The embodiment of a shy, slightly homesick, green solider. He's so effing sweet I just want to hug him. I keep getting embarrassed for him. The guys really tease him, but I have the feeling he will have the last laugh. I love the way Bill is with him, and I'm dying to see if they kiss, if they are interrupted, if Tom stammers out his question. *bounces* I can't wait. I think it's only normal for the aid to permanently share the Captain's tent so he can have his aid on hand. Bill would be warmer for sure. haha. I can't wait for the update.

Oooh. I'm all swooned. This is such an interesting plot, and I absolutely love how gentle and delicate the progress is. Tom is such a sweetheart in this, I just want to cuddle him, but I think the other sweetheart Bill will do a lot better job on that :)

My heart started fluttering from the moment it became clear how sweet and shy and vulnerable Tom is, but so steady with his hands, and so careful... and when it became clear what at gentle and handsome and ...just GUH man the captain is, then my heart started beating hard and didn't stop --hasn't stopped yet. I love it how you got (almost sexual) tension and some kind of attraction between Tom and Bill even though one is a true gentleman and one has been repressing his gay feelings for ever. It's amazing, and the thought of what comes next makes it more amazing still. Truly exceptional.

OMG I love this shy young Tom. He's so genuine, and vulnerable. I love that Bill is truly a great Captain and leader for these boys. He care when they can't write, or they are homesick, or when they need that extra encouragement. I'm really loving the characterizations, even Gus, who hasn't said a single word, but his presence and actions are so reassuring and nonjudgmental. I'm enjoying everything about this. I can't wait to read part two.
