Yeah, sorry, I guess I was really trying to find a a way out for Tom, but then I'm very much a Bill/Tom girl and love them together in stories. And I totally agree that if you love someone then you should forgo all others no matter your sexual orientation...I was just getting into Tom's head a little I guess and coming up with one of the excuses he might make, after all he's very good at convincing himself that he's not doing anything wrong. I see your reasoning, with Bill having walked out and to him his marriage being over then, no, he isn't being unfaithful with Anis. I'm dying to have Bill's take on what happened so get writing girl...pretty please.

I know Bill is in a gray area (sorry, I'll translate that for you: grey ...LOL). And you did good with Tom's idea of things, he is king of the "Lies I tell myself" club. Am I the only one who thinks Bill was wrong to sleep with Anis? I know the attraction is sizzling and the sex was hot as hell, but I feel sad that he basically did it on the rebound and also in some ways it makes him the same as Tom, being unfaithful. Okay, maybe that's harsh because Tom's a serial adulterer and Bill has tried hard to mend his marriage but even so...he walked out because of Tom being unfaithful and went and did the same thing himself. I want to say tit-for-tat even though I know its been building to this climax between Bill and Anis (no apology for the pun)for months.
I actually don't feel quite so bad about Tom now I've had some time to think about it. If Jasmine really did pursue him then it made it harder for him to resist. And he did try and get Bill to agree to move and start a new life away from all the old influences. Or was that just because he already knew Jasmine was pregnant and he wanted an escape? Not saying he was right to cheat again, but also let's not forget that unlike Bill who is out and out gay, Tom is Bi and that probaly makes it a little harder for him to settle with just one sex as a partner, hence his love of Bill's boobs and another reason he wanted Bill pregnant...maybe turning him into a substitute woman or at least somthing in between. Although that's still not an excuse; if he loves that person he should make the sacrifice and forgo all others. The fact that Anis isn't keen on the boobs just shows the difference between him and Tom because Anis, too, is completely gay. I do love Anis and Bill together, it's just that the whole situation makes me so sad especially with Bill purposely ignoring the drama and living in his make believe world. Anis must wonder if he's also a part of Bill's home maker fantasy and what will happen when Real Life crashes back into their world. That has to happen, right? I can't believe that Tom will give up that easily. He was absolutely devastated by Bill finidng out about Jasmine, but also I'm not sure his pride will let Bill go...especially to someone like Anis, an ex-cop turned PI. I don't think he'll understand at all how Bill could give up everything they have together, all the wealth and social status for that, even after all his infidelities. Right, I'll stop now before I write a whole chapter myself. Just one more thing, I'm glad Anis finished it straight away with Micah and that he wasn't too upset about it.

Author's Response: Gasp! Helen, you're a Tom apologist! rnrnOkay, first paragraph: Bill left Tom for good. It's over. Tom cheated. Again. After all his promises. Pretending to have stopped, going to counseling and then running off to boink his ex mistress....Not cool. Just that alone would have had Bill heading out the door. So, Tom was lying to Bill, lying to their counselor, pretending to be the good, reformed husband, and having no intention of stopping his ways. Even if he only did it a few times, that shows his true colors. rnrnSo, Bill went to Anis. He left Tom. The relationship is over. Done. So, he's not cheating. Tom's got to realize he'll never get Bill back - he knocked up his mistress! Bill isn't trying to pay Tom back. To Bill, it doesn't matter, he's moving on with his life. Sleeping with Anis was more of a way of saying, "moving on, right NOW." Not "Ha ha, Tom, you ass. Look what I can do." rnrnAs for being on the rebound....I can agree with that on a lot of levels. However, the attraction has been building for months. They've already declared their love for one another, and both had fantasized about being together in that special domestic way ;) Not just for a roll, but for a relationship. It's fast. But that doesn't necessarily need to be a bad thing!rnrnNow, for part II: Being bisexual, to me, is never a reason to cheat. If you're in a monogamist relationship, you don't cheat. Liking boys AND girls isn't any different from a guy who likes just boys or just girls, when it comes to staying faithful (I actually have a lot to say about how I believe relationships REALLY work, but I'll email that! I'm very opinionated!) And so, Tom likes boobs. His husband doesn't have any. If a man is with a woman who has tiny boobs, and he likes big gigantic knockers, he just has to love what he's got, and try to forget about all the big bouncies out there. Tom doesn't want to forget the bouncies, has no plan to forget them, and regularly indulges himself with them. rnrnI think Tom's main reason for wanting to get Bill knocked up is because he wants insurance. He wants Bill to be focused on family, so Tom can relax a bit more. Yeah, he's one of THOSE types of guys. He may not even consciously realize it, but I'm pretty sure that's his main motivation.rnrnBill is played make-believe just to get a breather from everything, to calm his nerves so he could think clearly.
