I'm glad Bill is giving Tom a chance and that they're going ot get counselling. I love that Bill is rewarding Tom for honesty, no matter how painful it is for both of them. After being deceitful for so long it will be hard for Tom to just admit the truth, and he's bound to feel angry at being forced to admit the error of his ways after lying to himself and Bill about his actions and motives. Although Bill's whole world has come crashing down, so has Tom's in a way because he has to change his whole mindset and also be strong against outside pressure from his father, something he's never had to do before. I don't know why I feel so sorry for him, maybe because he has such a shit for a dad and probably wouldn't have been such a shit himself if he hadn't been manipulated by the parent he hero-worshipped. The phone call with Anis was really poignant,even though the conversation was from Bill's POV I could feel Anis's sadness.All in all another amazing chapter. Glad there's more to come plus a one-shot and a sequel.

That you get it, and enjoy it, chew on it, and feed me back my own imagination through your eyes. This is the BEST! I'm having such a friggin good time! You are very right that Tom's tower crashed, too, and he's doing everything he can to rebuild it fast, with Bill as the foundation. We'll see how well that works for him. I think his estrangement from his dad won't be lifelong, they really do love each other. His dad's just a manipulative freak, that's all. Anis's emotions in this one are just killing me! I feel so bad for him. I'll have to see what can be done to make him feel better. Knowing you'll be waiting for a sequel will definitely spur me on to write til my fingers cramp :) yay!

Author's Response: You getting all excited gets me more excited to write! This is the first story that hasn't been completed, or almost completed, before I posted, so I'm a little anxious to get it done. Which isn't easy, since I write it out by hand, a couple sentences at a time, while I'm at work. Can't complain about 10 and 12 hour work days if it means getting that much closer to another chapter :)

Kazakhstanian and Ukranian languages are very similar they do differ but not alot i feel sometimes tht thy belong to russia but they don't ukrain was under the control of Tsarist Russian Empire and alot of people day tht Kazakhstan was a part of russia but ya , alot of Kazakhstanians when u ask them where they are from they just say russia which is not true but anyway i just read the chapter AGAIN XD i still feel bad for tom
Author's Response: Love the mini history lesson - I LOVE foreign travel and would visit easter Europe in a heartbeat, but still have lots of plans for more of Mexico and South America (so much closer than the Ukraine!) and back to Japan, and to China and Korea and..... I have family roots in Czechoslovakia (don't know if this makes us mortal enemies or not! :) Re-reading a chapter - that is AWESOME! I feel so humlby proud of myself!

My heart breaks for Bill. I would personally love to see him and Tom together in the end. If you chose this then I wouldn't let it be easy and quick. Tom should have to be completely broken down and submit himself to Bill. He needs to realize and feel what his husband has been going through an that at any moment Bill could walk out of his life forever . This is such a lovely story and it is very real.

I'm still surprised at how many people choose Tom over Bu in this story (I had the diehards picking Tom for the Digging stories, but lots of people chose Bu). It's understandable in that they're married, but Tom...gosh, he's such an ass! (laffin) Don't know what's going to happen yet!

I read this chapter earlier and have been mulling my reaction over all day. I've just looked through the other reviews for this chapter and I'm really surprised that most people feel the same way as me and would prefer Bill to stay with Tom. It's mainly because I feel both Bill and Tom have had an epiphany about what's most important in life and I'd love to see them make a go of it with their new attitudes. Although Tom is still being a possesive dick he needs the chance to prove that he can accept Bill as a person in his own right and not just as a pretty possession. And also that he can stand on his own two feet without bowing to his father's wishes all the time, and that he's capable of being faithful and trusting Bill without being so jealous all the time. But I also feel really bad for Anis having already lost Andrej, and he and Bill are so hot together. If Bill stays with Tom I hope Anis finds someone to love him. I just think that Bill, being the loyal person he is, would give his marriage a chance before hooking up with someone else, and also that he can't just stop loving Tom even though his husband has treated him so badly. So...that's my take on the situation. Really loved the chapter and I'm dying to know how you work things out, but also sorry that the story will have to end soon. I'll miss it.

You're right, a lot of people want B/T to stay together. I can understand that - this entire website is dedicated to that concept. And they've been together for several years, they're married, not just living together, and they have a lot to consider. Bill is pretty damned hurt, so we'll have to wait and see what decisions he makes - he does like life being straight forward. Thanks again for your review. I absolutely love this story and you have me hooked! It's extremely difficult to decided who Bill should be with, but I feel he kind of needs to be alone for a while. Tom needs to get his shit together and learn how to appreciate Bill, but having been cheated on before myself I know these kind of assholes rarely change. As for Bill and Bushido, they seem like they would make a good couple and its nice because Bill's starting to see money and nice clothes aren't everything and he is willing to give it all up. But then again you could use that angle to make him a little more independent and go out and do his own thing. He don't need no man to feel complete. ;)

That doesn't give away the ending, because I don't know how these characters are going to act or what they want until they tell me as I write. For the most part. Next chapter is a continuation of the last, so we'll see if those two can even make it past this first big hurdle :/

You really got me worked up with your story!
I loved it so far, loved that the story wasn't just about the relationship thing but also about the whole Andi plot!
You're style of writing is great as well you don't get to read stories with a first person narrator here that often but it really fits the story here :)
As for the end - I really really hope Bill will end up with Tom. Maybe Bushido would be the more logical choice, because Tom's been kind of a cheating bastard in the story, but my poor twincest heart would be destroyed after a Billshido ending :(
And since I like Bu nonetheless I'd really love him to have a happy ending with Andrej. Seriously since you brought them up as a couple in your story I kinda started to ship them and I'd totally love to see them end up together!
So I'm all team Tom/Bill and Bushido/Andrej and team everbody's happy! :D

I wanted to get a bit deeper into the characters this time. When the Bu/Andrej came out (I swear a lot of my writing comes from the pen! Not all, but a lot!), I could see it so clearly. I loved them! Could do a whole story on them, but I'd probably get kicked off of here ;) But they were over a long time ago, and I think Bu really does like Bill a lot. But we'll just have to see. Thanks again :D

Anis is sweet. Logic dictates that Bill should be with him. However, my heart says to go to Tom in this. His heart loves Bill. It is obvious in all the little things. Anis is infatuated. Tom is in love. So yes. Tom/Bill. And we will most probably get a good sequel out of it. Haha...

Anis is a wonderful guy and deserves a happy ending, he makes Bill's body crazy. But I prefer Tom, I want Bill to stay with his husband. I do not know exactly why, I wanted it before, and even more after this chapter. If Bill chooses Bushido, that's fine too. So... Anyway: Reach Bill's heart again, Tom!
Surprise him! Get your heart back and prove you can make him happy, for real this time.
I hope it's a tough job though, because Bill has suffered much, and Tom deserves a punishment in my opinion.
I think Bill should first of all, gain financial independence. He is so smart, if he had his own money, choose Tom would be a decision even more special.
Author's Response: About Bill standing on his own two feet - I agree! Several readers picked up my psychic vibe on that one ;) But he's got a degree, a bit of money, and that's enough to get him started if he wants to. We'll see how willing people are to change! I think being independent would make a BU choice that much more special, but I'm just sayin.....I DON'T KNOW who he's going to end up with yet! Author's Response: Shhhhh (looks around for spies) I agree! And as for Bu in real life, I'm extremely indifferent to the whole RL thing anyway, so I make my Bu's the way I want them to be! Everyone else always makes him the bad guy. Since I love the concept of yaoi, my favorite formula is a nice masculine guy with a pretty, soft effeminate one. I am so glad you see the good in this, and that my AU has fogged up the bad thoughts on Bu for you! I still don't know who Bill will end up with though, honest!

Author's Response: salamatsys, ba? Pryvit! Ukraine/Kazakhstan are pretty far apart, very different places! Ukraine has a very complex history, doesn't it? Mostly Christian, part of Russia til modern times, and very industrial. And Kazakstan, mostly Muslim, sparsely populated, very rural, and the traditional wedding dresses are beautiful. Your English is actually quite good! (better than a lot of native speakers, honest). As for Bu - I know he missed Andrej for a long time, but that relationship was 2 years ago...he really does like Bill a lot. Tom has some growing up to do! Chapter 15 will be up on Sunday, e.l.a!

He's just assuming that Bill cheated, and gets angry before he knows for sure anything is going on. He's playing the typical cheater's game: get freaky jealous all the time at the innocent person. Kind of like how chronic liars always think everyone lies to THEM. I'm thinking Tom might ....oh, dang, I can't give anything away!
