are you taking up or did you take up psychology?

'cause i'm like .. wait a minute.. didn't i just have a quiz on this? lolXD

Author's Response: Three long years of it. A lot of this story is drawn from things I learned in college.

You are amazing.
Your writing is really good. If things are going to get rough, then what do you call all the things they've already been through? I've already been teary eyed more than once, while reading this story. In a good way though.
I really love this story and you've written it in a so realistic and mature way.
Chapter after chapter, you blow me away. This is really good. And I love Doctor Engel :)
Thank you so much for writing this.

This story is amazing - continuing writing it please.
I liek the timelien effect and how you include ages many stories i have read haven't done that.
I was a bit disturbed by the thigns that they were doing when they were like 7 and 8, but anyway i loved the story...
There Kindergarten teacher Miss Hahn deserves a slap as well as Lukas and that other kid - Good on Tom and Andreas for kicking their asses.

ok so you KILLED me with that talk with Jöst
god I was so shure that he was talking about the twins relationship and I couldn't understand why they seemed so cool about it
and then boom, right in my face...they were talking about the doctor thingie
seriously I feel like beating the crap out of david...asshole

and their talk with adam...so sad
by the way, will he be in the story more?
cus you can't just leave the question of what happened with him and his twin hanging like this
or the 'who is the loved one' question...charlie, girlfriend
and of course the letter

and your end notes
I'm gonna have to harden up I guess
seriously, you have the power of making me hurt so badly
gosh you're amazing

and hahaaaaaaaaaaa to the virginity joke ;)

love luce

Author's Response: I don't want to reveal all my plans, but I promise I will take care of all the loose strings before the story is over. Your questios will be answered.

I really liked this chapter. It's so interesting to watch the twins growing and developing around the constant theme of the therapy sessions. I was pretty upset at the end of the chapter, I hadn't realised quite how much Alan had grown on me. I love his character and his relationship with the twins (As well as what we have learnt of his relationship with his own twin.). I've always seen him as a sort of confidante for the twins, more than an actual therapist, with the way he kept their secret and helped them... So it was nice to see that dynamic play out in full in this chapter. I really hope we haven't seen the last of him.

I love your charaterisation of the twins in this also. You still portray their 'public' persona, ie: Tom's teasing of Bill earlier on in the chapter. While the setting of the therapy sessions is a great device to show us more of their personal 'deeper' sides... It doesn't feel awkward, seeing Tom's more sensitive side, for example.

I loved how Alan used marriage relationship therapy techniques on the twins... They do seem almost like an old married couple at times^^

I love this story, can't wait to see what happens next! (Things get rough..? I hope the twins can cope.)

Author's Response:

I didn't realize how much Alan had grown on me either. I never intended for him to become what he has grown into, but I'm glad that he did. I hated writing the goodbye scene. I really did. I was dragging my feet for days knowing that this was the scene I had to write next.

I'm so relieved to hear that the characterization is believable. That is always my biggest concern when writing fiction.

I'm so sad, dear God ! I almost felt like hugging him, even though you said the therapy is not over. Poor boys and stupid Jost! Can't wait to see how they'll manage to continue without Doctor Engle's help, or how he'll get back into their lives.

Author's Response: Things get rough without Doctor Engle around, but there's a plan for everything.

Dude, you could totally end the story here and I'm glad you're not.

I've always thought your characterization was great, but Tom seemed very Tom in this chapter, telling Bill he wouldn't find his virginity under the bed and snapping at David about if he wanted to know how many times he had pissed that day. Even in the session, you made that hug very un-OOC.

And the twins having to tell each other what they were and weren't sure of gutted me a little, I gotta say.

Author's Response:

I never even thought of ending the story there until I got to the end of this chapter and thought "Well shit, this would have been a good ending." but since I didn't plan to end there I left a lot of loose threads around. I've got a lot of things to tie up before it's over.

I'm relieved to hear that Tom is coming out all right. I've been worried about him, but it's getting easier now that they are a little older. Balancing the sensitive Tom that I've created with the public persona of Tom that we know is pretty damn difficult.

my favorite phrase from the whole chapter was "emotionally nude". It was so apt and simply elegant in its complexity.

You had me tear up at the end; I liked Alan a lot and it was difficult to see him and the twins part ways. Another great chapter.

Author's Response:

I'm pretty fond of that phrase now too. I just imagined Tom sitting there feeling very uncomfortable and stripped down as they talked about him and the problems he'd had when he was younger.

It killed me to write Alan and the twins parting ways. I actually could not write out them saying goodbye. I avoided writing the actual dialogue for it because it was too hard.

wheeeew

I thought there will be no more Dr. Engle in the next chapters.

I totally dig the bantering of the twins in the first part.

I know there's going to be lots of complications/issues in next chapters, so I am mentally preparing myself. Heheh...

just a very minor glitch..

Tom knew this was there last session

Author's Response:

Thanks. There will be a lot of complications in the next few chapters. It's going to get rough.

I seriously can not believe I made a their/there mistake. Sophia and I were talking about that earlier today. *facepalm* Off to fix it.

i liked the trick of making people think that maybe jost caught them. he would freak out over something dumb like that too i'm sure. i'm also having my suspicions of alan, but won't make any assumptions until i get more info. i like that they'll stay in contact with him. i felt really sad when they said they couldn't come anymore. overall very good, and the part with bill looking for his lost virginity was pretty funny. yay for humor in a slightly sad chapter.

Author's Response: Making people think they've been caught when they haven't is a favorite trick of mine. At least I didn't leave it as a cliffhangr this time.

All right, you've got me hooked now. Very good beginning and I really can't stand that Miss Hahn woman. Wretched excuse for a human being allowing stuff like that to happen, just because she doesn't understand. Ugh.

Excellent! I will definitely be reading more.

And to clarify, I always thought your plot sounded interesting, but I've been trying to wait on newer chaptered fics until they've gotten several chapters in. :) So hope I didn't offend or anything.

*bounces off to read more*

Author's Response: I'm definitely not offended. I now know the frustration of starting a chaptered fic only to have the author abandon it without finishing. I am closing in on the conclusion of Analyzed though. Only a few more years of their lives to cover.
