I like what you've got here, but I'm struggling to accept this as typical six-year-old behavior. I don't know, the scene right before the end felt too sexual for the end, and I think that takes away from the innocence of their relationship at that point. Also, I'm actually not sure how much of a problem it is for young children to kiss, even on the lips. Especially in Europe, where there's no concept of 'personal space' like in the US. This may just be me, but I remember having to kiss my classmates on the cheek during class birthday parties and such, so a kiss on the lips probably wouldn't be that shocking to European children. But anyway, that's just my own nitpicking. You've got a nice writing style and I look forward to the rest!
