I LOVE Christmas stories... So I was in ecstasy when I saw this update. I think the movie is Santa Claus with Tim Allen (which I love by the way), so I really canīt wait for next chapters :)

Ooooooh, wow, could the movie be Santa Clause, maybe? Even if I'm wrong, I'm more than hooked already. *bounces* The start was so good and I loved that Tom is the one after Bill like this. Loved their bantering and how sweet Tom seems. I'll definitely be looking forward to more. :)

I absolutely love your holiday fics! The Cynic and The Optomist are two of my most favorite characters on this site
! I am so looking forward to this story =]

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that this story is based off the movie 'The Santa Claus' with Tim Allen. =] I guess I will find out!

Hmm wait. I'm thinking you said this was slightly inspired by a movie? Is it that movie with the man who accidentally kills Santa and has to become Santa himself? LOL, I'm just imagining it now... x'D I don't know though, hmm.

Anyway. Carry on xD

I am so excited to read this Christmas fic! The Cynic from last year was brilliant and I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy this one just as much! Love the characters already! Bill working at Victoria Secret, that's a new one and I like it very much! Can't wait to read the rest! THank for posting a Christmas fic, that made my day =D

Ooh I'm liking this so far and I'm guessing right now is this based on the movie "The Santa Claus"?

Okay, now for the review...

For starters, we do not diss Wikipedia. Despite the creepy photos that accompany the "Personal Appeals", it is a wonderful resource. Cheers to being able to correct and contradict other people's version of "fact".

Secondly...I don't have a lot of favourite authors, but you are most certainly one of them. You have a rather unique ability to bring realism to any plot and your dialogue skills are top-gun.

This is wonderful and should I be inclined to bribe you with sparkly things, and should you be inclined to accept, I would ask that you post all of this that's completed at once. (Read: at ONCE!)Because at the risk of repeating myself, this is wonderful. I enjoyed this as much for your exceptional wordcraft as for the story itself. Happy Holidays at you, and I'll be tracking for updates. Make my Christmas merry. :)

Ho ho ho! This seems like the most delightful Christmas story :) So Bill keeps saying no because he actually likes Tom and doesn't want him to be in trouble?

I haven't finished reading this yet, I just wanted to interrupt the enjoyment portion of our programming to say that I am so glad you brought up the thing about screaming kids and visits to see Santa Claus. Which is supposed to be pronounced like "house", not like "claws"...if we're getting right down to semantics. :)

I disagree with the whole business about traumatizing children in order to get a cutesy photo of them on Santa's lap. Parents do it for themselves, so they can show it around, ooh and ahh and have a nice memory of their kid's first Christmas. I think it's very little better than shoving your kid at a drunk on the side of the street and snapping a picture when they start wailing. It's weird, and since when is your kid screaming, red-faced in the arms of a stranger a happy memory? Jesus, parents...get it together. Go tackle someone in a toy store aisle or something if you need to get into the Holiday spirit.

This concludes our Holiday Grinching. We now return you to your regularly scheduled reading.
